The new Fey Wanderer Ranger has made me incredibly eager to dive back into the ranger class...not having played a ranger since the Horizon Walker subclass was released.
The combination of striker, trickster & diplomat has me brainstorming an elvish character who is somewhere between an entertainer & wandering warrior, eager for the next interesting brawl.
Normally, I like to multiclass the ranger to provide a boost to their general capabilities...and the Fey Wanderer seems to offer several options.
For combat, I'm split between Fighting Styles..."Dreadful Strikes" provides a notable boost to Two-Weapon Fighting, gaining both the "magical weapon" status and bonus psychic damage to your weapons, without bonus-action meddling (awkward phrasing of the feature aside).
This would let me become a whirling dervish and a graceful Fey-like ranger...not too shabby.
But...I cannot deny that "Archery" might be a better Fighting Style, and my Fey Wanderer could mix up their crossbow shooting (I like crossbows) with some dart-tossing (darts are ranged, gaining the accuracy boost, and could be flavored as throwing knives or shuriken). Apply the "Sharpshooter" feat for decent damage.
Now, a Fighter multiclass would presumably gain an additional Fighting Style...allowing me to use both "Two-Weapon Fighting" & "Archery" together, right? Thematically, is meshes well with the ranger, also. "Second Wind" is good healing, too. A second level dip is tempting for "Action Surge", though I always like to keep multiclassing to a minimum for Rangers, if I can help it.
My second though would be a Cleric multiclass...specifically, a War Cleric. Their "War Priest" skill lets them make an additional attack as a bonus action a number of times equal to their Wisdom modifier...which for a primary ranger, means attacking more often. Combined with the ranger's "Extra Attack" & "Blessing of the Court" later on...that's some decent psychic-smiting piled on top of frequent attacks.
"Wisdom" will be an important statistic anyway to the Fey Wanderer, and the added Cleric spells will be good for added utility.
Finally, the Rogue multiclass provides a meager Sneak Attack boost...but really I'd be after Expertise & Cunning Action.
"Expertise" will allow my Fey Wanderer to bolster their already considerable Charisma-checks later on ("Blessings of the Courts" stacks Wisdom on top of Charisma checks), and "Cunning Action" makes the ranger more nimble and difficult to pin down.
...so these are my multiclassing thoughts. I'd be curious to see if anyone else has any thoughts regarding the Fey Wanderer, and interesting multiclassing for it.
Stars druid makes sense, as someone who tracks the movement of stars to see when gateways to the feywild are open. And some of the abilities just make sense. Add in Eladrin or Wood elf race. Ultimate fey wanderer.

Keep in mind, that although both weapons for TWF become magical when you use, you can only deal the extra 1d6 psychic damage once per turn. I think something like this could be a fun build thematically:
The Green Knight:
Eladrin Elf (+2 Dex + 1 Cha): Standard Array 13/14/10/8/15/12
Fey Wanderer (7+) / Paladin (2 levels+). You can Smite & Blessing of Courts on the same attack. Use Medium Armor and take Two Weapon Fighting or Dueling (Ranger) + Defense (Paladin). Grab Dual Wielder once you max your Dex for Double Rapier + 1 AC. If you have a lengthy higher level game and want to go all the way to Auras, go Oath of Ancients for the thematic fit.
Alternatively you can start as a Half Elf (+1 Str, +1 dex) Paladin with 15/12/10/8/13/14. Using this version, you can wear heavy armor and use two Strength Martial Weapons instead of Rapiers.
For a super high level game, 11 Paladin, 7 Fey Wander would give you 1d8 on all your attacks from Divine Smite. With Dual Wielder Feat, Two Weapon Fighting, and 20 strength/dex, you would do: 3d8 + 15 (magical weapon strikes with TWF) + 1d6 Psychic (Dreadful Strikes) + 3d8 Radiant (Improved Divine Smite) + 3d6 Psychic (Blessings of the Court) + 5d8 Smite (level 4+). You have 3 changes to trigger a Critical Hit to pump the Blessings and Smite bonus damage.
(Note, you can do even more potential damage by going Great Weapon Fighting over Two Weapon Fighting with a Great Sword with Great Weapon Master if in the strength build (4d6 + 30 weapon damage).)

Have you considered going Rogue Swashbuckler? I think these two classes could be quite synergistic.
That’s a VERY appealing idea!
