I am starting a brand new campaign as a Rogue. Any tips and tricks I should keep in mind when playing him? I'm still learning the game with my first character, a Druid, that I have only played for a year or so. Any tips will greatly be appreciated. Thank you!
One thing to always remember is that as a Rogue you are NOT a frontline Fighter, meaning that you tactics should revolve around either distance or quick in-and-out melee attacks, trying to get as many attacks with Advantage as possible to maximise the use of Sneak Attack.
Cunning Action is your friend, and is a VERY good friend. With it you can easily get out of a sticky situation (Disengage), get to a more advantageous position quickly (Dash) or set you up for the next turn after you already made your attack/Action on the current turn (Hide), all of it using your Bonus Action.
These are the basics, imho, but then the way you might want to play your rogue can change greatly based on the subclass you will choose.

If you're playing a melee Rogue, you'll usually want to use two-weapon fighting. If plan on using ranged weapons, you'll really want to get acquainted with the rules for cover and hiding; you're going to want to find obstacles or corners to hide behind to give yourself advantage on attacks. Either way, I really recommend you also listen to the Sage Advice segment of this Dragon Talk episode. The lead rules designer of the game explains the stealth rules in a lot of detail.
The stealth rules are deliberately open-ended and dependent on the DM's judgement so make sure to ask your DM how they handle hiding in combat and make sure you're both on the same page.

Be sure to remember about sneak attack, and to look for ways to set it up/make use of it.

Also, rogues shine out of combat. Any time there's a skill check you should be making one!
