I've been painting for about half a year. I've painted over 100 minis, and I think I'm pretty good. However, you're always learning, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips? Paints, vids, blogs, techniques, etc. Thanks!
I recently picked up mini painting again for the first time in over a decade, so through myself into YouTube tutorials to see what I could (re)learn. Some things I've picked up:
* Thin yo paints! Glaze medium is really good for this
* Zenithal highlighting and underpainting, where you use three shades of spray basecoating to create light effects, saves a lot of time
* Glazing is a great method to build up deep, rich colours as well as nice gradients.
* Wet palette technique where you use a sheet of parchment on a damp sponge as your palette which keeps your paints from drying out
* Simple basecoating, then a dark wash, then highlighting for quick painting

Thanks, this is really helpful! I've never done glazing before, I'll try it on my next mini :)
