I just purchased the player's handbook to add some spells to the campaign we're playing (wd dragonheist) but none of the spells show up as options for my players. The player whose sheet I'm trying to edit is the right class and level and has the feat that enables these spells (witch bolt and find familiar) but the list under 'add spells' is very short and missing these.
Any idea how long it takes for dndbeyond to 'connect' the sourcebook to the campaign? I thought it would be instant. Yes, I have logged out and logged back in - no dice.
Do you have a master tier subscription? That's what you need for content sharing. If you do, you need to turn it on for your campaign. Does the content show up for your personal characters?
Sometimes this website updates instantly but normally it takes anywhere from a couple minutes to a couple hours before things update. There's no rhyme or reason, it's just a bad website that needs to be improved
We are having this issue too, several of our players randomly lost access to stuff that was shared in campaigns. But some of us (like me) still have access.
As much as this is a plug for something I did, there is a lot of useful information to help you diagnose your issue without having to wait for someone else to help you.
Okay an update for everyone if you're running into the same issue - a quick summary is everything is connected as it should be and my player took a feat that gives her two spells, which for some reason don't show up in the manage/add spells list. I did eventually contact support.
First they told me she wasn't supposed to have those spells and when I sent over a screenshot proving that she is, their reply amounted to "seems like a you problem".
More reasons to consider leaving DDB and going to another platform I guess??? Not super impressed with this.

Which feat is your player having an issue with? Without more and specific info, it is very hard to diagnose the issue. I cannot think of any feat in the PHB that lets you choose two level 1 spells. You may also want to post the link to the character here so a mod can take a look at the sheet.
If you want to leave Beyond, by all means do so. Vote with your wallet. Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds are your other options. But I will also say that it is very easy to simply blame customer service for every issue and not take any resposibility.

If you have a master tier sub. Try turning sharing off/back on. Could help/work.
I've got a master tier and I tried turning content sharing off and then on again - still nothing! I even left it overnight. :(
Have you reached the content sharing limit of 5 campaigns?
Lightning Strike - A rebranded Fire Bolt for Wizards & Sorcerers.
Spirit Bomb - A holy fireball for Clerics, Paladins, & Divine Soul Sorcerers!
Sword Dancer - A Cleric subclass specifically for the Drow goddess Eilistraee.
Quicksilver & The Scarlet Witch - A pair of magical firearms for your Gunslinger or Artificer.
Did you purchase stuff on the website or through the app? If it is through the app, it has to go through Google/Apple, and that can take a while.
Also check your licenses to make sure you bought them, and sync your entitlements too to make all your purchases are up to date with your account.
