The game I'm dming has decided to switch to the 2024 rules, but the Path of the Juggernaut barbarian subclass didn't get transfered. Is there a plan to do so? If not, how do I help the player choose the subclass?

Probably not. Critical Role is launching their own RPG. There is also little reason to redo the campaign setting until it goes out of print. If it does get redone it will probably be for daggerheart and not 5e. (Unless they do a hybrid approach for both game systems.)
they have already launched their own RPG but are doing streams with htat already. There is no reason to assume they will be abandoning D&D as their flagship game

When campaign 3 end and campaign 4 begins next year, they will almost certainly switch to Daggerheart.
Doing otherwise would say that they didn't think Daggerheart was a good enough to switch to from D&D, so why should any of their audience? There's no way they're going to keep advertising D&D for free when they have their own product they can sell.

It is a bit annoying, but not too hard to use the homebrew system to recreate the subclass for 2024. Easy enough patch until the regular version gets updated.
As for Daggerheart taking over from D&D? I would be incredibly surprised about that. Part of the success of game streaming is playing a game others actually play. Daggerheart could overtake Pathfinder (and, based on the early reviews from sources I trust not to just be “everything CR does is the best thing ever,” I doubt it can pass Pathfinder)… and still be nowhere close to D&D in terms of player count.
They would have to be so confident in their game’s sales figures as to throw away their Beyond sponsorship, regular partnerships with Wizards on other matters, their 5e products, and the large number of fans who tune in because they like seeing the folks they enjoy play a system they also know and enjoy. I think the odds are in favor of them sticking to 5e for the main game, and perhaps using their system for spin offs like Exandria Unlimited or the like.

Although I 'hope' that's the case, I too suspect they are preparing to go all in on Daggerheart. I've suspected Matt is planning to do so ever since the Open License fiasco. The latest episodes of CR Campaign 3 only reinforce my suspicions. It appears Matt is going scorched earth with his campaign world for the climax to campaign 3.
Personally I hope they don't, I am firmly in the camp of being a huge fan of the "nerdy A*# voice actors who play Dungeons and Dragons"... not "nerdy A*# voice actors that play something else". I am a huge fan, and would hate to see them go, but I won't follow them to a new system.
Still, I suspect that's what they're planning. (Sure hope that I'm wrong)
If I were Hasbro/WoTC/DnDBeyond - I'd offer them a bucket load of cash to stay with D&D and collaborate (and soon), they are quite possibly the best recruiter of new players this game has ever seen.

Whether they switch systems with their Actual Play or not I think is a separate consideration. The book has little need to be updated at this point, as there are very few player elements in the book and nothing else would need an update. It would have to come with a need for another print run and if it was different, people would want to get their money out of it. So I don't think its going to change any time soon.
Which they can re-release with Daggerheart options. Which might be necassary if the world is further altered by Predathos. Campaign 3 seems very much designed to rewrite the rules of magic and wrap up the original "trilogy" of campaigns.

It might do well, but it's not going to pass D&D. There's too much momentum there.
It might easily pass Pathfinder as Critical Role is such a well known brand. Pathfinder was never featured in Vaninity Fair or had billboards in LA or had merch sold in Hot Topic. There's a LOT of people who want a D&D alternative, and would prefer one that isn't OMFG complex and crunchly like Pathfinder.

I imagine they're not making that much with DnDBeyond adds. They seem to have no shortage of sponsorship options and are likely turning away sponspors due to time.

But they could do a new edition of WIldemount. One they get 100% of the sales of, rather than just a small amount. Or a combo book that has Tal'Dorei, Wildemount, Marquet, and Issylra. It's not like this would be the first time they did a new version. The original version of the Tal'Dorei guide was done by Green Ronin, but CR quickly moved that in-house.
And as I said above, I expect them to revamp the world and do a time jump, which would necessitate an update.

1) Work on Daggerehart began before the OGL incident. They announced they were doing two RPGs in April of 2023, just three months after that. The scorched earth route was likely planned from the start, with this being the trilogy wrapping camapign.
2) Keep in mind CR's new open license for their games isn't unrecindable, like the OGL is. They can yank their license at any time. Check out darringtonpress.com/license/

That's me as well. I'm happy to watch streams of other games, like Vampire. But since I play D&D and not Daggerheart, the gameplay will be lost on me.
If I were Hasbro/WoTC/DnDBeyond - I'd offer them a bucket load of cash to stay with D&D and collaborate (and soon), they are quite possibly the best recruiter of new players this game has ever seen.
So would I. But the CR team has never been one to leave money on the table. One of the first things they did when they became a hit was break away from Geek & Sundry and go on their own. And they were quick to do their own RPG books rather than stick with Green Ronin.
Worth noting as well that on the D&D Direct announcement for third party stuff coming in the future Darrington Press was noticeably absent. They may have been the first 3pp added to DDB but it doesn’t look like there’s anything in the future and I’d assume that includes big updates to past titles

I agree. I love CR content but from what I saw in Daggerheart's beta, I would say it will satisfy in sales and will be fun to play, but I doubt very much that it WILL be overtaking Pathfinder. Paizo has so much time invested in the development of their game and the library of books that they have out is staggering. I would love to see a comparison of Core Book sales between systems though. Critters are a very reliable consumer.
A possible counter to the total switch idea that’s just occurred to me is that they’ve now got Beacon, an entire streaming platform to fill with content that needs to attract paying subscribers. It would be pretty decent business to keep their main YouTube and Twitch game as D&D to attract the biggest possible audience on those platforms and fill their own platform with a combination of D&D and Daggerheart

Keep in mind that Critical Role also has an animated series that can serve as a commercial for Daggerheart. The reach of CR is impressive.

Playing D&D since 1982
Have played every version of the game since Basic (Red Box Set), except that abomination sometimes called 4e.
