I'm just a little disappointed that there is no encounter builder option. This feature was one of the best for a DM when Wizards had the D&D Insider was operational, you could build encounters and add them into a campaign or Group of encounters.
The Campaign feature that appears to only let you add characters is really pointless.
I find the the amount of DM tools available a little lacking right now. I'm hoping there will be more added in the future.
The Homebrew content is good for doing a quick build of something unique so very pleased with this feature.

I'd also like the ability to share maps for the PC's too!
I think the way I am going to get around this is that you can add images to the campaign notes currently, so I will upload the necessary maps there and link them so the characters can see.
I would love to have this tool as well. I have been using D&D Beyond since beta and this would make it so much useful. I hope we hear more on this soon, cant wait for it.
The latest update indicates that the encounter builder/initiative tracker will be worked on after the new character sheet/builder goes live. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's likely to be finished around the first quarter of 2018.
Pretty much every time there's something I wish DDB had it either already exists or it's on the to-do list. BadEye's monthly chats are awesome to see the roadmap. These guys aren't messing around!
Roadmap is cool but I'm ready for a "real" feature update at this point. I'm bought in pretty big so I'm a supporter but I feel it's time for some legit new content.

We just got homebrew backgrounds a couple weeks ago, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done to get what already exists working at peak efficiency, and they're busy with XGtE.

Hey, just out of curiosity, but is there an update for this? Even just a way to throw monsters into a folder would be nice (as like a quick reference thing, so I don't forget what I planned)
Thank you!

Hopefully we'll hear an update in the development stream a couple days from now. I understand the need to be ready to go with all the new materials, but I hope the dev team also carves out the time to focus on these DM tools.

It has been confirmed by BadEye (you can find the quote here) that an encounter builder will be added later.

I'm not sure if you can curse the dice of an employee of curse.
An encounter builder would be a great addition.

This product will get my money when it has this feature.
Yes, encounter builder is a super time saver for me.
Any update on when this will happen? Hell, I'd pay extra for this capability.

+1. I’m looking forward to this as well. The campaign management could use a number of features: chapters, encounter specific notes, map builder, etc.
This is what is holding me back from purchasing, I myself like the character creator but need the encounter builder.
I maybe wouldn't bet anymore.................
