I just completed my first long-distance all-digital session using D&D Beyond and roll20. One issue I came across was the (in)ability to fill out my inventory with items recovered. I dabbled with the homebrew a bit, but it seems to be focused on magical items. I need to add a handful of non-magic but plot-critical (or red herring) items. Is there a tool for creating these? Or will there be in the final release?
Edit: Looking toward the future, I could also see it be useful for creating new weapons or overwriting/customizing current weapons.
In the equipment tab under "More" go to "Personal Possessions" or "Other Holdings" and it'll let you just type it in. Best way for those red herring types of items.
I'd like to be able to create mundane items also. Having a separate place for things like Cold Weather Clothing or Snowshoes seems odd, especially since other clothing is in the regular inventory.
Whilst it's technically still a magic item (from a homebrew creation standpoint), when you create the homebrew item select the rarity as "varies" and the item that is created will be in Black text in the equipment selector.

Thanks for the tip! To help clarify for the user, I'd like to suggest that the wording on the link be "Create an Item" instead of "Create Magic Item" and for the rarity drop down, change "Varies" to "Mundane". That would make it more obvious for people that you can do both and what "Varies" means.
Even with that kludge, you are stuck with a required field of Magic Item Type which does not cover mundane items such as Adventuring Gear (Cold Weather Clothes), Material Components, Ammo....
The system needs to be able to support custom mundane equipment.
You can create custom items on your character sheet with the weight, cost, name and notes you need it to have. It will more than suffice unless your DM gives everyone the exact same item to everyone all the time.

I should add that I really enjoy perusing the homebrew section. It's got a lot for inspiration... there's probably all kinds of interesting mundane items that I I'll never come up with on my own that would be a treat to have in my game.
I just really enjoy how open the homebrew section is. It's not collaboration exactly, but it's just brimming with ideas and backstories. Just wish I could see what other things folks are cooking up.
