Yeah, the player wants to be a paladin. Or yeah I would have suggested that. Trying to create my own oath blade
Seriously, just do a one-level dip into Hexblade and take the rest of the levels as a Paladin. It works fine.
Seriously, I asked if anyone could help with achieving this. Not just suggest multiclass so that a level 5 PC doesnt have their extra attack because 1 level is in warlock. Thanks though for the insight.
I would think you'd just have to create a homebrew magic item to pull that off. I don't think there's a way to change or set up an actual pact weapon for a paladin any other way since it's a warlock class feature.

Thanks, i was asking just encase i was missing something pretty obvious. Do you know how to set that up on a weapon? if not that's cool thanks for the info.
Basically trying to make a pact weapon for paladin. Using cha score instead or using str. Any idea how I can implement this?
Go Hexblade?

Will that then use the cha bonus on the action page instead of str?

There is not a homebrew modifier for replacing an attack stat on a weapon. Which leaves your choices as follows:
