How do I access the old races I actually wanted and paid for for use. I have a copy of the warforged that I duplicates so I can concontinue to use what I wanted/paid for.
There's a button for eberon so why isn't there someway for me to use the wayfinder version
I would echo this, looking at my character now I have a UA version of changeling? I paid for a version of the races from a book which it looks like I no longer have?

Also before the rage I've seen in other forums shows up. This is a WOTC policy, dnd beyond did not make the decision, not do they have the authority to change it.
I will be making personal Homebrew versions of the races(cannot publish for public use because of copyright) before updating wayfinders in the mobile app. I'm sure there are people around with the old version to use as reference if you only have the updated pdf/book.
Yup. The "Wayfinder" versions are considered "playtest" content which has now been updated with officially published versions of those races. The old versions aren't coming back unless you homebrew them.
Been a bit frustrated by this as it leads to a lot of concern as to how dndbeyond and wotc are going to take care of their customers.
You mentioned that "Wayfinder" is considered playtest content now, where was this mentioned at? It is disconcerting to have purchased a book of content where the content is considered playtest, this is the primary reason for UA and can be understandable when content is pulled from UA. Unless I missed something when purchasing the book I never had the notion it was considered playtest material.
Also the rage that people might be feeling regarding this can be understandable, and it would be great to see some clarity about where this is a wotc policy and not a decision made by dndbeyond.
Maybe a lot of this information is out there and I just haven't found it, but that is kind of the major problem with some of this, it feels like to leverage Dndbeyond and their 5e content from wotc, you are required to stay up to date at all time with changes to the game. I have never played in a single rpg game where the expectation is that everyone is required to be up to date with anything that might have changed unless we were playing in the equivalent of what is now adventures league.
Wayfinders was always considered playtest and a living document which would be updated. There was a disclaimer on the store page in the description (I bought day 1 and the playtest content warning was there) there were multiple YouTube videos by dnd beyond (I believe with Chris Perkins of WOTC but I could be misremembering the guest) discussing what would update and how there would be large rules overlap but that there would be unique setting content between the books. Not positive, but I think one of the last dev streams addressed that they were following their agreement with WOTC, I Know that I've seen that information in one of the threads in these forums(think it was one about rebuying ebberon)

Wayfinder’s being playtest/living document material was mentioned:
-in the marketplace description here on DDB
-in the description on DMsGuild
-in the introduction to Wayfinders in both the compendium here and the pdf available on DMsGuild
-In the initial announcements about Wayfinders by WOTC and Keith Baker
-in the announcements here about updating Wayfinders
-in developer update videos and posts here in response to people’s questions about the relationship between Wayfinder and Rising
-probably in other places I’m not remembering
I’m sorry you missed all those places. (I’m not being snarky, I really am sorry that you didn’t realize this before you purchased.)

Yeah, that was straight-up mentioned in the description blurb listed for the book everywhere you could order it.
DMs Guild said "Playtest material includes the unique races of Eberron, the mystical dragonmarks (including greater dragonmarks and aberrant dragonmarks), and new magic items; this is a living document, and this content will evolve and be updated in response to feedback."
In the introduction to the book: "Bear in mind: this book presents my current vision of Eberron. This is the world I run at my own table, and the way that I’ve converted its ideas to fifth edition. The game mechanics are usable in your campaign, but at this time they aren’t officially part of the game and aren’t permitted in D&D Adventurers League events. These mechanics will evolve based on player feedback. This is a living document, and as these concepts are refined, this book will also be updated for free; so you will be kept up to date with any changes that are made to it."
It was absolutely mentioned several times when Wayfinders came out.
To answer your question, you may still have access via the D&DBY app. My app still has Wayfinders content, including the obsolete races. You can probably expect to see the old versions uploaded as homebrew eventually.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
How it worked was that WGtE contained the same information as UA plus world building stuff. By buying the races, etc in WGtE, you were prepaying for any future published version.
From the beginning, it was labeled a living document that would have its contents updated to match a future print release.
The UA versions have been archived. You can find the PDF that contains all their info on WotC website for free (as is always the case with UA).
By buying the races, etc in WGtE, you were prepaying for any future published version.
That would have been fine with me, but we were charged for the new versions even if we "prepaid" for the playtest versions.
No you weren’t. Everything everyone got with WGtE was updated for free.
Though you did have the option to buy it a second time with the new book. Which I didn't particularly enjoy, but did anyway.
Exactly this. If you purchased anything from Wayfinder's that cost should have been deducted from the cost of RftLW because you already "prepaid" for the content.
There have been instances of overlapping content before (XGtE reprinted a lot of subclasses from SCAG). DDB does not discount for overlapping content (and neither does Amazon or LGSs for that matter).
I knew ERftLW had a bunch of overlap with WGtE (they mentioned it quite a few times), but I bought it anyway. It was not great planning on WotC's part, but DDB will give refunds for WGtE to anyone not satisfied with the turn of events.
It would be very, very nice if DDB would make a homebrewed copy of the original versions of WGtE races and make them sharable. They have all the original material since existing characters created with those races still funtion.
As someone else said, and I have brought up befire in other forums, WotC introduced variant forms of others races, like the Aasimar & Eldarin, and kept both. They should have kept the WotC and the new book the same way.
I won't be upgrading the WGtE in my iPad app when they update it. I won't use the new version in my campaigns.
Also, in my copy of tyhe pdf peurchased on DM's Guild, there is no mention of it being a Live Document. This was added after my purchase.

If I look at Wayfinder it still shows the old Warforges but Rising shows the new version. Does the Wayfinder book get updated at some point?
We're working on it! :)
