Yes, you would have to designate it as a “General Action” instead of “Weapon (or Spell) Action.”
However, they are working on a mega system features update due out (AFAIK) by the end of the year. That update might make that workaround go jank on you, so I cannot guarantee that it will still function correctly after that point. 🤷♂️
