I'm trying to change a Dagger of Venom into a Katar of Venom. I made one, a Vicious Katar of Venom, but the item still lists thrown and finesse among the items abilities, and neither of these is true. The item is held/worn almost like brass knuckles, it can't be thrown, and the point of it is to capitalize on strength, not on on positioning via dextrouse movement. I'd like to remove these two terms from the item description.
Also, 2nd question, from the character sheet view window, I see that I can also make the item silvered and/or adamantine after the fact of it's creation. Do these descriptors count against the limit of 3 that I already have in use for the item: Poison, Magic, and additional damage?
Silvered is considered separate from regular weapon properties because it can be used to coat existing weapons or ammunition. Adamantine can also be used to coat existing weapons/ammo. That's why they exist as checkboxes in the customization for weapons.
Edit: After you make changes to homebrew, you MUST click [Save Changes] on the main edit page. Changes to homebrew can take up to 20 minutes to percolate to character sheets, so don't be surprised if you don't see the changes reflected immediately.
It isn’t 5e, it’s DDB. This website’s system automatically lists all of that, it has nothing to do with the game. Good news is they won’t display on character sheets.
As for your kukri, you would do it the same way I made this “Saber” from a Rapier: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/1271954-saber-1). (And those unsightly extra notes at the bottom will tell you how if you know how to read them.) If not, don’t worry, I’ll explain it.

Thank you for your time and please have a very pleasant day.
Add the following Modifiers to the homebrew item:

That didn't do it. Now my Item page notes read:
Notes: Damage: Additional, Damage: Poison, Bonus: Magic, Ignore Weapon Property: Finesse, Ignore Weapon Property: Thrown, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Light, Thrown
Is there no way to just make it read:
Notes: Damage: Additional, Damage: Poison, Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Light
?
Thank you for your time and please have a very pleasant day.

Aw; tut tut's at 5e.
Alright, in a similar vein, I am also making the other variant dagger type Kukri; a curved bladed dagger.
Presumably the difference being Slashing rather than Piercing damage. Can I reflect this change?
