Did that. It lists as a Restriction on the main page for the homebrew entry (feat in this case), & doesn't display at all on the character sheet. It also doesn't display as (Hover) for any of the magic items I tested, like Ring of Air Elemental Command, so it could just not be implemented at this time.
I will give it time to refresh, as I also changed it from Set - Speed (Flying) to Set - Innate Speed (Flying) to see if that would correct it.
Flying creatures enjoy many benefits of mobility, but they must also deal with the danger of falling. If a flying creature is knocked prone, has its speed reduced to 0, or is otherwise deprived of the ability to move, the creature falls, unless it has the ability to hoveror it is being held aloft by magic, such as by the fly spell.
So in the case of a magical item that grants flight, it's redundant. For a PC racial flight ability, hover can still mean the difference in being prone in the air and stationary and or prone and falling.
Note: for those with racial flight abilities: Speed Reduced to 0 is not the same as chooses not to move (but - being the target of a grapple in aerial combat - immediately starts a fall, if you then have to deal with a shove to prone the grappler doesn't have to follow to keep their target grappled, that's when you want hover. (that grapple to shove prone was something iamsposta posted a different thread a bit ago and made me go oooh ouch.. and niiice).

I went out of my way to choose items that specifically stated they granted Hover, to see if it would display. You may have a magic item that creates wings, but wings don't flap themselves, so... splat, in that case (at least in my games).
Short version (I swear): I'm trying to homebrew a feat to make a character a ghost, and being who I am, the closer I can get to 100% coded of what is in the book / my head, the less likely I am to wake up at 3am & start tweaking it, or go on a create/delete/recreate cycle. And you noted, the difference between hovering & hoovering (of your remains off the ground) is about the same as the difference between lightning bug and lightning.

How do I add that in Homebrew?
Just add “(Hover)” in the field labeled “Details.”

Ahh. None of the player options have the Hover ability, only monsters do so it only displays that on Statblocks.
