Upon casting this spell, the casters facial features take on a slightly animalistic cast with the appearance of a normal beast of the caster's choice. While the spell is in effect the caster has their senses heightened to animalistic levels of sensitivity. This gives the caster advantage on Perception or Survival checks based on sight, hearing, or smell. Additionally, their senses are so in tune that they automatically save (or have advantage?) versus any illusions that do not affect all 3 senses at once (sight, hearing, and smell). The caster must spend an action to end the spell early if so desired.
As noted, not sure of level. Feels like 1st level. Think automatic save may be too much.. Thinking Ranger, Druid, maybe a specific cleric domain?
Comments? Suggestions? Is there something like this already?
This definitely belongs on the ranger and druid spell list; thematically, it's not at all in line with the cleric. I think the only other two senses not included in this spell aren't really going to be used for perception checks so overall advantage on perception is good. Adding advantage on survival checks definitely helps round out the spell. I think advantage against illusions in general is also more applicable.
The first two sentences are a little cluttered. I would rewrite to something like
You are imbued with the senses of the wild. Your face, in particular, your eyes, ears, and nose appear to be from an animal of your choosing. For the duration of this spell, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks.

Yeah, the explanation needs to be a little better. Also, I'm not sure "animalistic" means what u think. "Bestial" would be more accurate. Advantage is a good way to deal with it, if it was just plain Immunity it would need to be higher level, I feel. Also, you could homebrew it into Cleric of Nature domain, Paladin of the Ancients, and Fey Patron Warlocks.
That does scan better. Thanks for the feedback. I thought that advantage on the illusion saves would be more in line also but I started with the thought process that if an illusion didn't smell anything like it was supposed to, it would be obvious that it wasn't what it appeared. But advantage is definitely more in line with the spell level.
