So i have no experience in dungeons and dragons,as far as creating my first charecter:-but today i thought: Why not make a homebrew?
so the first time i tried to make my homebrew,I was mostly lost in a lot of places,so i published my homebrew, only now realizing that i can't go back and edit it.
so i decided to report the homebrew for the fact that it was incomplete, but in all honesty: I need help.
Here is what I have so far:
"Our party is strolling along their Merrymaking in the Journey:-When they’re suddenly stopped by a Fair-Skinned Elder. There’s something particularly odd about this fellow:
Firstly, the gentleman looks out of this world:-Dawned in a Black(Unbuttoned & Open-Faced)Frock Coat,Orange showman’s Vest and a Green-Colored Puff Tie for a Top:- Purple Pinstriped Trousers for a Bottom:-And White Buttoned Spats for Shoes. On the top of his head is an Orange and Yellow Fortune Tellers Turban, and sitting in the center:-is a Purple gem.
The Man Strokes his Sharp Van Dyke Grey beard and Mustache:-And there’s something strange about his eyes, they’re like a great blue sky of clouds,or like twinkling stars behind this man’s Pupil:-none of us in the party knows exactly what it is.
And his Presence,His presence is warming to the soul, yet somehow, odd…
our party notices that the Man has brought out three crystal clear juggling balls,he starts to juggle them as he says: “Greetings & Salutations My Fair Travelers,My name is Mr.Mystic! I am the conjuror of Spirits of Long Ago,and of Demons of Today:-I show them my Magician’s spells & Powers of Mysticism:-and they fall at my Feet, for they heed my every word and humbly submit to me:-and that is a matter of fact! So Adventurers, are you up for a Game:-Do you dare to challenge the great arts of Mr.Mystic?"
this passage above is me dumping out what was in my head:-and originally i put this under special traits, but i now realize that i could have put it under monster characteristics.
Here are more of the ideas:
Pocket-Dimension[Deception +3]
"Using his Turban:-Many of the Party-Members are transported into a Dark(yet Colorful)Dimension within the Terraforms of the hat:-Here our adventurers face off against Bizzare and Unusual Challenges and Foes, stemming from each of the Party Members deepest subconscious workings:-Along with other things like Ghosts & Demons of the sorts:-Here our heroes must find a way out(the solution on how to get out is up to the DM)!
Following the cue of this event, only one of the party-members stays in the real world, with their own challenges that Mr.Mystic has in store for them:"
"Being a Deceptive type:-Mr.Mystic has Charm and a trustworthy attitude about him. Not only that, but he also provides very witty persuasions,as well as comebacks. You must never take Mr.Mystic for a fool, for he can be rather cunning, always ready to unveil the next trick up his sleeve."
That’s not a “homebrew,” that’s just part of a story. My best advice? Play some D&D and learn the rules, then come back and try again when you have a better idea what you specifically want, and how you want to do it. Than, provided I’m around, I’ll be glad to help you.
Thank you for your advice:-some of these ideas are just ideas for the encounter(Like the Pocket-Dimension Ability)and the general information(even though this is a story,i'll try to get some help to rewrite it to fit homebrew fashion)that's needed to understand what the party is up against?
The single biggest thing to remember about The different between a story and a D&D game (or any TTRPG) is that players almost never do what you would write unless you run your campaign on rails. Someone who’ used to post frequently around here, and who’s opinions and advice I held in high regard once wrote:
"Sooner or later, your Players are going to smash your railroad into a sandbox."

Or as I like to put it, “players do the darnedest things sometimes.” That’s why I suggest playing for a bit, because the perspective it will give you regarding the rest of the hobby is invaluable.
Merry Christmas everyone.
