If High Arachnopriest auditions are still available, here's mine:
I am preparing an adventure where the characters are manipulated by six godlike eldritch horrors into resolving their cosmic war. The characters are constantly betrayed by allies to the point they slaughter all contacts immediately after receiving help/advice, are repeatedly forced to undo their own actions, and rarely succeed on completing a long rest. When they finally resolve the war, half of the characters are revealed to be instruments of the losing side and attack the others. Once one side wins, all characters awake at 1st level, where the adventure started, while I restart the adventure.
That a suitable evil scheme?
Awesome.

Greetings, fellow acolytes of arachnids! If you are reading this, the Spider Guild has probably piqued your interest. Allow me to tell you what we at the Spider Guild do.
The Spider Guild is a place where scheming minds are welcomed. In the Spider Guild: Evil DM Plans forum, we hatch plots and schemes to use in our campaigns to instill panic and suspicion across the campaigns! As the one to bring the Spider Guild into fruition, I proudly have taken the mantle as Spider Queen, although elections can be put in order if my supervison is seen as unfit. I will try to the best of my ability to assist members of the Spider Guild in their dastardly plots, as well as concoct a few of my own. I hope that, through our schemes brought together, we can achieve the goals of causing mischief throughout the campaigns!
Are you interested in partaking in our quest? To join, all that is needed is to share one piece of a plot on this forum. It can be anything: An idea, monster, trap, or something else! From there, the more one contributes their plans to the Guild, the more likely they can be for promotion. High-ranking members can run in elections for the title of Spider Queen (or King, or Monarch), and all members of the guild can cast one vote. As is usual, highest vote total takes the Webbed Crown, and then is in charge of the Spider Guild forums. All members can make their own Spider Guild forums for hatching plots or tallying votes!
Anyway, this one post is getting long. I bid you all adieu, and to those who have joined us, a warm welcome to the Spider Clan!
I have a thought for a campaign or four:
1: A Deital Avatar has plucked random 'heroes' from other planes in order to aid him in evading the law. The only issue with all of this is that the reason he's running from the law is overly vague and the planes the PCs are traveling to on his behalf were effectively death traps. the PCs find out the truth as they explore. 2: The PCs are living in a scenario heavily reminiscent of the horror movie series Scream. Horror movie tropes are treated just as cliche as how players and horror critics treat said tropes. One by one, the PCs are attacked by a serial killer BBEG. Their missions are to figure out who the killer is and survive to see them unmasked. 3: The PCs experience a plane actively against them. Any action they do is canceled out as soon as it is made. The PCs are physical anomalies to this plane.
4: A Magic academy located within a 1984-esque world.

Here is the idea for a campaign I wish to use that should mess with the players minds and maybe drive their characters insane.
It starts with the characters washed up on the shore of a strange land with absolutely no idea how they got there. They remember their whole backstory and everything about themselves, but they have no idea how they got where they are. They will travel across the land, exploring it, fighting dragons, saving people and doing all the normal adventuring things, and their backstories would be heavily tied into the story as well, but things would seem weird and off. Completely different, unrelated events will seem to be connected, people they meet might reference or say something similar to what another NPC has said, and there might be no connections between them. They would continue to come across monsters driven into madness, and many things they meet will be searching. Not all know what they are searching for, though some speak of an ancient secret that has existed before the creation of the world, and will exist long after. They will come across nothics and allips who have been transformed and been driven to insanity by the secret. The players will follow the trail, trying to uncover the dangerous and unknown knowledge that threatens the world. Things will seem like some powerful, otherwordly force is manipulating the world and the simplest everyday events that happen for some strange and unknown purpose. That is because there is a otherwordly being in control. Me. I am the otherwordly force, altering the world at my every whim. I am the being who guides the characters through their lives, challenging them, and helping them grow and develop. I am the writer of their story, but they made their own decisions. I just gave them their options. It would end with a massive final battle where I create an avatar of the me, the dungeon master, and I send it down to fight the characters. If they win, they have defeated me, and prove themselves as heroes, if they fail, their characters are either driven to madness or slain by my hand. The truth that destroyed them was that they are being played with in a game.
Find a hero, offer to donate 1,000,000 gp to the local orphanage if they successfully come back with the head of one orphan. Then watch as they have to decide whether they should kill one to preserve the chances of the orphanage being able to help many more? Or not, and if the orphanage closes, they know they could have saved it? Either way, they feel in the wrong
I have noticed that this page is full of lots of submissions that have not been responded too. They all seem amazing, and truly Spider Guild like. Anyone who has posted an evil idea here, if you wish too, you may consider yourselves a spiderling of the Spider Guild.
