This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grog will move to the closest barricade (assuming it will give me half cover) and ready his action. I’m readying Vicious Mockery to cast as soon as my enemy shows himself within range.
(just gonna do the stuff now so I don’t have to later)
dc13 wisdom save or 2 psychic damage and disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
The arena is a large colosseum type structure with bleachers going up far up into the heavens. There are objects scattered around the battle ground, ranging from boots to six foot high climbing walls.
OK, a couple things I wan't to point out about this. First, Dragonlouis, you took the hide action to hide behind on of the walls that Dnlover talked about and made a stealth check. You got 15 and smokes character's passive perception is 13 so you hid succesfully. The thing is, Dndlover said that these walls were scattered around the battle field, and the rules of hiding say that the second you are visible you are no longer hiding, so you can leave the wall you were hiding behind and walk towards the bard, but the second you do you are no longer hidden. Also, Smoke_and_Oakum, if Dragonlouis stays hidden behind an object the second you can see him again he is no longer hidden, so all he is really gaining from hiding behind the wall is full cover, if you walk around to the other side of the wall he is no longer hidden, and if he tries to mave to a different wall he is no longer hidden. If you have more questions about the rules of hiding here is the link: tabletopbuilds.com/hiding-surprise-and-more/#Surprise.

Thanks.

1. Ok
2. The arena is 100 feet long and 100 feet wide
3. There are objects scattered around the arena, but the shadows only cover half of it
4. The arena is a circle
5. Yes, yes you can
I uses to be dndlover_2.
I get that having areas for rogues to hide in makes it more fair for the rogues, but don't you think it could get a little confusing?

He was 90 feet away from you so you can only get within 60 feet.

On second thought, I back up 30 feet. (if you maintain the ready, that must be your action)
(you don't know where I am even though you do.)

Hey, just wondering, if I, let's say, backed up all the way to the edge of the arena then how far away would I be from Grog?

(Probably 100 feet cause I’m nearly to the edge)
