Much obliged. It seems like including only one subclass in Bigby's was unnecessary, although I suppose they just want extra Spelljammer-prevention space.

It's not very spider like, except that it has Spider-Man's face. (Edit: And what looks like one of his thighs just sticking out of it randomly.) I'm guessing this is an AI image?
If you enjoy music - drop a reply with some bands you enjoy?
Did a quick DIR dump from the command prompt - and excluded my "Random" folder - because that has a metric ton of other one offs in there. But these are all pretty relevant bands to me that I frequently listen to or picked up for a specific reason ...
A-Z - Has the singer of Fates Warning, whom I really like. Aftershok - Singer from the band Shok Paris (who is further down the list) Alice in Chains - Used to love the older AiC - have not picked up anything from them since the original singer's demise. Anthrax - Because they're a good, fun, thrash band. Archon Angel - Singer is Zak Stevens, who was the second vocalist of Savatage, who I really like. Armored Saint - Because every album they do is amazing. Artch - Picked them up way back when because one of their songs got a lot of play. Relatively good album, but really just two or three songs I listen to off of it. Assassin - Local San Diego band that got recognition back in the day, but never ascended to beyond the San Diego/LA scene. Audioslave - Because Chris Cornell. Autograph - Fun band, only have like the first two albums. Babylon AD - Fun band, all their songs are rather ... suggestive. As a lot of the lighter metal bands back in the day were if they were "hair metal." Banshee - Their EP is hard and fast, their full album was much more commercial. Still good, because the band is great. Barren Cross - Christian Metal that I love. Beastie Boys - Because who didn't love them back then? Bible Black - Local metal band in San Diego. Billy Idol - He has so many good songs. Black N Blue - Loved two of their songs and have I think it's their first two albums. Black Swan - Modern metal band that has that old sound. Singer is the same singer from MSG (Robin McCauly - sp?) Blind Guardian - Fantastic fantasy metal. Bloodgood - Another great Christian metal band. Sadly their done, because their main person passed away not too long ago of natural causes. BMR - Vocalist is Kal Swam (of Lion) and guitarist is Doug Aldrich (of Lion) - both of whom are my favorites in their field. They went from metal to more of an "Alice in Chains" I think to meet the change in market (from metal to grunge) Bon Jovi - Because, well, he was great back in the day. Bonfire - Great metal band. Britny Fox - Fun metal band. Girl School is a song I think of frequently when I think of "back in the day of metal" Britton - Smaller metal band Bryan Adams - Because, let's face it, he is talented and writes great songs, lyrics, and has a great voice. Bullet Boys - Meh band. Just really liked their one song (that was a cover) Burning Kingdom - Vocalist from the band Waysted (one of them) that I liked Burning Rain - Doug Aldrich from Lion was in the band, so instant pick up. Chalace - Local San Diego band that opened for Stryper way back when. Chris Caffery - One of the guitarists from Savatage. He makes his own songs and sings and does a great job. Cinderella - They were a great band back in the day Circle II Circle - Second vocalist of Savatage (Zak) who I like Contraband - Vocalist from Shark Island, who I liked Creed - Used to love me some Creed Crimson Glory - Amazing metal band, RIP Midnight Dark Illusion - Local band I used to know (they since changed to Squeaky Fromm, then eventually broke up) Daughtry - He's great.

We were down our High Elf Cleric as well as our Tiefling Artificer. (Another player, who is off playing other RPGs I no longer consider being down - they've been up on the Spelljammer as a way to explain why they're not partaking). However, it so worked out that last session - the High Elf leapt from a mountain and the Artificer (Armorer) tried to fly up and catch her and did so - but with momentum - sent them both spiraling out of control into the ground.
So tonight, I explained that the Artificer would be hanging back, working on fixing his "Iron Man" armor while the High Elf Cleric had suffered a bad blow to the head and was slipping in and out of consciousness.
So, to back track - the party is chasing a Beholder who has gained a powerful artifact that grants him infinite wisdom and whispers endless secrets. The Beholder is off to become a god because he's learned how it's possible. The party (they're all level 13 right now) is in pursuit - but gets sidelined by Githyanki who ambush their spelljammer giving the Beholder time to escape them in the "Astral Plane." (In my world the entire "Astral Plane" includes Wildspace and all of that - it's just all lumped as 'The Astral Plane'). So the party fights the Githyanki (who in my world have their own lore) - and defeat them and take their Spelljammer as a second ship. Chasing after the Beholder's magical signal - they trace it down to the Plane of Earth. However, the Spelljammer can't land - some barrier prevents it (this was way back, my way of excusing the one player who may not return) - as they remained in the Spelljammer ready to "beam up the party" when they give the signal.
Now, the problem that goes further back - is a large war broke out between the Four Planes - someone had stolen the Titan Rings (these are rings that allow them to summon each "ultimate" Elemental - Leviathan, Phoenix, Zaratan, and I forgot the custom air one I made, because it doesn't have its own cool name). Rumor had started that the other Planes had conspired against each other. So Earth believed Water stole theirs, while Water believed Air stole theirs, and Air believed Fire stole theirs, and Fire believed Earth stole theirs - all due to the evidence left (read: planted) behind.
In truth, it'd been the Drow who had done it - in an attempt to enslave the Titan Elementals to help raise their Spider Queen (essentially Lolth), which they succeeded in doing.
So anyway, one of the players is a Air Genasi - so when they arrive on the Earth Plane, they meet a squad of seven Earth Genasi and she explains (the party uncovered all of this) what truly happened - and that she has all the rings, except her own people's ring (the Ring of Air). She gives the Earth one to the Cleric. (I made an NPC Earth Genasi Cleric and Earth Genasi Warrior for tonight's session to help balance out the party).
The Cleric dumps a bunch of lore as to what's going on in the Plane of Earth, and how the Githyanki have organized under the power of a Dao (or the Dao to them, the Earth Genasi are not clear). The party, naturally, agrees to help. So the Earth Genasi say they can't go to Everstone Kingdom overland due to the Dao and its forces flying in the skies - they will need to use secret passages in the mountains.
Now tonight was gonna be a short session because one of the players had a hard stop to take their kid to get ice cream, while another had just got their dog back from surgery - so I was just thankful to even play.
So the party enters into the caves, gets their long rest - speaks with the Earth Genasi to RP and get some lore. Then the following morning make their way into the caves; the party is warned about creatures known as Piercers; the party assures them they're very aware of them (encountered them quite a bit during the Dwarf/Drow war in my campaign to stop the Drow Priestess from ascending and awakening the Spider Queen). They also know that Ropers are adult piercers; and despite this - a Roper gets the drop on the party, snagging the Rogue and beginning to drag her towards it. The Paladin cuts her free and helps her up. One of the Earth Genasi change and get caught and bitten - literally 103 damage - the Earth Genasi had 104 HP. So the party rushes in to save her. They do so - an in killing it recover some gems in the roper's gullet.
Party moves on and enters a cave where they Earth Genasi explain the purple crystals are called "living crystals" because they provide light and channel it from areas in the mountain that they stick out of - giving life to creatures and plants (similar to the Underdark kind of setting). They moved next into an area where the crystal floors are all red - but it's not naturally red. The Earth Genasi explain that long ago a battle had been fought here and the blood has seeped and been absorbed into the crystal floor itself - and all around, odd plants grew. (They're corpse flowers, but the Ranger calls them "Murder Maples" and rolls a Natural 20 on his persuasion convincing everyone that's what they're called). I allowed him to roll a Nature check at advantage, explaining he may be right on what they're called and he's read about this kind of plant - and he rolled high enough that I provided some of the abilities of the corpse flower to them but calling it "Murder Maples." When they asked how many I said, "Each of you roll a D4, and I will let fate decide." They each rolled a 4. So I said, "There's 12 scattered about - you will need to move cautiously to not attract their attention." Ranger did pass without trace, and I had them reach an underwater lake, with 15 minutes to spare, and said they make camp there for the night.
It's not very spider like, except that it has Spider-Man's face. (Edit: And what looks like one of his thighs just sticking out of it randomly.) I'm guessing this is an AI image?
Yes to all of the above. good catch on the thigh sticking out.
Was playing around with the one that I have to have (because is part of a set of tools I use for other work) and that came up, so I thought I would share it. THe persnickety person in me is upset that I missed the flaws you pointed out, lol, so then I had to fix it.
THe prompt was literally just "Combine Spider plus Scorpion", so absolutely no clue how it got what it did, but was it was odd looking enough. And yes, it definitely drew from spiderman -- I suppose that's a big thing right now, which is one of the limitations of the tool.
I figure I will use them in swarms of 20 to 200 depending on the party level, doing a single hit point of damage each, treating all AC as baseline since they can get inside armor or ignore it, susceptible to fire, cold, and both radiant and celestial energy, but super hard to hit, with any successful attack only taking out one at a time from the swarm attacking the individual.

If I were dropped into my homebrew worlds, I'd be what that world calls agnostic. In my world, agnostics are folks who can't refute the gods' existence, but they don't care to know, or have any formally acknowledged relationship with them. Sure divine magic and intervention can affect them the way any other supernatural entity may. It's sort of a perspective that's an inverse of Stephen Crane's "A Man Said to the Universe"
A man said to the universe: “Sir, I exist!” “However,” replied the universe, “The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation.”
But in the game world's case the asserted existence of the gods to many mortals has not created in those mortals a sense of obligation to the asserting gods. Also see Han Solo, "Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other; I've seen a lot of strange stuff. But I've never seen anything to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls my destiny."
I like coffee, I keep it to usually two "cups" a day. One gets knocked off for Mountain Dew on game days. I used to consume a lot more caffeine, but that was sort of a job, and work/life imbalance problem which I've finally been able to sort out to more reasonable measures. Tea I sometimes use to hydrate when I'm sick. I don't refuse it, but it's not something I ask for otherwise.
'Sposta, that Giant content seems cool, and good to see you timing some content with Bigby's. Hope it gets you some more notice.

Back to vacation.
Have you read through the 5e Theros lore? You remind me a bit of the iconoclast leonins found in that setting.
There is a planet upon which every adult has some form of nurturing power - the ability to make some form of food or dink, the ability to heal wounds or cure poison and disease. They believe these powers come from a benevolent god and have established a world church dedicated to this god for centuries.
The powers are actually from an extra planar creature that is preparing the planet for harvest.

Anybody else about to spend the day playing Baldur's Gate 3? I'm hyped, I haven't touched the early access version.
I've not gotten Baldur's Gate 3, mostly because I am not sure the machine I have could run it sufficiently.
I am right there with you.
Same boat here. But that won't stop me from watching other people play it and getting very jealous. It looks so cool!
I've tried to play the first two Baldur's Gates to compensate, but I just can't get behind them. Not because they're 2e, because they're not turn based. Who the hell makes a D&D game that isn't turn based?

Video games are not usually turn based. Especially 3D games that involve fighting. I should know.
Turn based games definitely exist. I should know.

That’s fantastic! A high quality game it seems!

Anybody else about to spend the day playing Baldur's Gate 3? I'm hyped, I haven't touched the early access version.
I've not gotten Baldur's Gate 3, mostly because I am not sure the machine I have could run it sufficiently.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny.

Turn based games definitely exist. I should know.
