*I think the best course of action is to just not introduce anyone new and instead just have the current crew try and get out of the bottle, while Ricardo and Gwess negotiate in the full-sized world. It adds stakes to the plot and could lead to a cool eventual fight when the crew in the bottle escapes*

*I suppose that is what we will have to do if this story is ever going to get done. Maybe someone else can take the wheel for a bit while Shiver is busy, we don’t want to add to their workload with this thread. Speaking of which good luck with all that Shiver.*
[Heya folks, just hopping on since I've got a break now, and I've got no problem from someone taking over the wheel from me for a little bit. Jollini can just be botted or just straight up ignored, I'm fine with that I just don't want to hold things up now that I'm offline more often! I'll try my best to participate when I can, but as for Hello Marina and Gwess, she's been intimidated enough to not want a fight, so you can do whatever you want]

[Just thinking out loud, but I think the Part 3 idea Himy had for a like town/small, confined setting, mystery part like Jojolion or DiU would work way better than we think. Firstly, it would be like in BGaS, where we were pretty much always in the same town so people could come and go with little change aside from plot, whereas it's the complete opposite here; we're always on the move, which makes it hard for people to join and hard for people to miss things since we could be halfway across the globe by that point.
Secondly, it just seems like an easier thing to run. Flesh out the small town, maybe gets some maps going, but other than that it's just encounters, roleplay and little thought aside from plotlines. Here everything has to be planned out and little can be just done on a whim considering we're so confined. It's just encounter, plan plot point, encounter, plan plot point, over and over, rinse and repeat. I like the slight unpredictability of BGaS, and I hope we can replicate it with Part 3, I'm really looking forward to it.]

*Yeah I agree. To be honest, while Sea of Stone is such a cool concept and I love the world and characters we’ve built for it, I feel like it doesn’t lend itself super well to D&D or roleplay. It’s such a cinematic premise that it’s hard to do with multiple people when the plot needs to be always be going*

[I absolutely agree. It's more of a story like the original Jojo is rather than a game and it just doesn't suit the whole premise of multiple people playing and the chance of dice rolls unless it was hyper-railroaded. I would never suggest something like this normally, but since I had the original concept idea for this and don't feel too bad about letting it go, I was wondering whether it might be better to just go ahead to a more unstructured, modern day Part 3 and have it take place in this AU so we've got all the plot conveniences and things that come with a separate narrative, like we had planned.
If you think about it, more people are likely to join, it's easier to run, probably more fun for all of us since it isn't as rigorously structured, (and this might sound a bit selfish) but it would mean I could participate more if it isn't as story driven cos it'd be okay to miss out, and they'd be less effort behind planning. I mean, we literally had the final battle idea ready for this from the beginning pretty much, and I kinda miss that air of uncertainty in the game. Obviously I do completely understand that people probably have characters that they like and wouldn't want to leave, and ideas they have planned and I would never want to take them away from anybody, (I've got loads myself lol) but I'm just saying that if people unanimously agree that a switch to a modern day, easier going Part would be better, I'm more than happy to make that switch!]

*I think we should do it, but maybe not brand it as a Part 3, since that might make people feel like it’s an extension of a preexisting series when it probably won’t be super connected to this or to Part 1. Though, we could still imply that all the planned-out events in Sea of Stone actually did play out, setting up some of the elements of this story. I might even be able to tell the story I was originally intending to do with Parmen. So were we gonna do the thing where we base it off minions and minor antagonists from various parts?*

[I am DEFINITELY not in the mood or prepared to speedrun the entire earth in the next month or less when we could just summarise things instead. Best we can do is just write up a conclusive ending based on what we've got that we can carry forward. Could be as simple as 'The crew defeated Hello Marina and all future enemies with relative ease, discovering Plunge and it's users along the way, including Lisa Zeppeli, who eventually sacrificed herself for the crew. Each of them overcame several challenges and Jollini's Stand developed it's ACTs, culminating in ACT 5 during the Spirit In The Sky fight with Niverde, which perfected his Stand into a Requiem of sorts. He then settled down with a merchant's daughter, Gyornako Brando, who was also coincidentally the daughter of his enemy Dio from their time in the Mediterranean, which was defeated after he tried to become a vampire using his Stand, but failed to realise that vampires burn in running water, such as the ocean, so died as his ship sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic.']

Oh, and as for rebranding I think that's a great idea, just have a fresh thread and something that isn't tied to the original A Bizarre Adventure branding so we don't scare away or confuse people who think it's connected even though it's gonna be effectively stand alone]

X gonna give it to ya: a small stand with what can only be described as a comically large pencil. The stand can use this pencil to cross anything out, causing one of two things to happen. 1. What ever is currently effecting the object or person is canceled, such as causing a crumbling wall to stop and rebuild itself. 2 cancel the primary function of something, this could be as simple as causing a watch or clock to stop tracking time, or completely shutting down a stand’s ability*
