Watched some scambaiting videos recently. (People that communicate with scammers to waste their time.) I gotta admit it's quite humorous to see the scammers get so frustrated with the people they're trying to steal money from. Plus I've learned a bit more on how some scams worked.
Oh yeah I've watched one of those, I saw one where the guy told the scamner he actually got the money and the scammer of course didn't respond after that.
With KitJoba love how he'll get the scammers all the way to point of, "Okay I've got the giftcards." And then, playing the role of a tech-illiterate grandma, he'll verify if he's got the correct codes to send them by redeeming the cards right in front of them while they're screaming, "NO! NO! NO! DO NOT REDEEM!"

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
Also, my friend tasked me with designing a boss monster. I'm curious to ask your advice, LCW, and some things I should do.
First it'll be a solo boss against a party of (I assume) 4 lv5s. (maybe 3, we'll see.) The DM didn't feel comfortable using a legendary monster so will keep it as a regular. Probably aiming for CR 9. Though also curious what your experiences are with DMs that don't know the mechanics as well if I should put that higher/lower. (He's used AI-generated statblocks in the past and sometimes he'll describe a condition that's applied if the attack hits and I'm like, "Bro, that condition doesn't exist. So I don't know what it does either.")
The monster is an NPC we've been travelling with (got the request after I suggested a tweaked statblock) that was previously based on the veteran stat block.
So far the changes I've made are minor. Added a reach melee attack based on the otyugh's tentacle and tentacle slam. And probably will add a cone acid spray for her.
But there's been a minor element of body horror to her that could probably get exaggerated after a transformation. So curious what delightfully devious ideas you might have.

First off is that a Steamed Hams reference
Second what's the nature of the transformation? Is it eldritch, general dark magic or what?

Which part are you thinking is a Steamed Hams reference?
Not sure what the transformation will be. But I assume eldritch considering he likes theming things with chaos gods.

Oh wait I read delightfully devious but thought it was delightfully devilish
Hmmm, maybe something like the confusion spell or the effects of your's truly's gibbering?

I like that idea. Definitely gonna have to find a way to put that in. (Plus some of the DM's custom monsters have applied the "confused" condition, which as mentioned before led to the 'I don't know what that does either' discussion.) Gonna work on that ability later tonight.
Also, though I've never watched the movie(s), seems like a power belonging to the character Beetlejuice which is semi-fitting for the NPC too. (NPC isn't based on Beetlejuice, but who it is based on is fitting to steal 1 or two traits from that character.)
So, in band, we have a guy that plays tenor sax and bassoon, and today he got it out for the first time this year.
Numerous freshmen asked, "What's with the big clarinet?"
