Technically no, this would not remove the Prone condition.
However really this is a question for your DM as this is something I could see commonly being ruled differently as people help each other stand up all the time in real life but this is not supported by the rules.
You can only move somebody "toward you or away from you" with the Telekinetic feat. Moving them 5 ft into the air is really just moving them sideways from your position.

Unless you're above them. Easy enough to do if you're adjacent.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

Shoving it diagonally up 5 feet is moving it towards or away from you since the ammount of space or square between you and the target is greater or lower from start to finish.
Absolutely a homebrew, but I'd allow it to be attempted. I'd probably require the prone creature to choose to fail the save and instead use their reaction to perform an Acrobatics check equal to the save to successfully right themselves. If they failed they just get dragged 5 feet and stay prone.
if a teammate of mine is currently prone, can I shove them 5ft in the air to let them stand up?

RAW, no.
But I like it. I'd make the standing creature have to use its reaction to steady itself [/houserule].
As others have said, RAW the answer is “no,” but as a DM I’d allow it.

Standing up from prone takes effort and speed, which doesn't occur when being shoved or teleported.
