ok so i made a high elf that's "Cursed", so he is now a elf lich hybrid....trying to think of a way i can make him sorta work correctly if at all any thoughts? and if needed i can add on a link to his sheet to get a better idea about him...
Tbh I don't really see the point of giving feedback, if you're a new player then I would be surprised if you're playing a level 20 character any time soon (or ever, really). Maybe focus on an actual beginner character to help you get to grip with what "works" - level 1-5 or something.
On this character, there's nothing particularly wrong about being a Necromancer Wizard with War Caster, but to make it be really beneficial you want to think about a larger variety of spells.
> War Caster helps you keep concentration - what spells will you be concentrating on? Greater Invisibility is a good option, but within your vast selection of wizard spells why not pick some damaging spells.
> And on that note, you have a real lack of damage going on. I think its probably because you're leaning heavily into "this is a necromancer" but your current build only deals damage if using 6 level+ slots or cantrips.
> Make use of your level 1 and 2 spells by learning spells that have additional damage/effect when up cast. They might not be your high damage spells, but they're the ones you can use most often. There's probably not much point having any level 1 spell slots if all you can use them for is Unseen Servant.
You are probably better off with 5 of these than the ones you went with. Usually 2 damage cantrips with different saves/attacks and the rest for utility is the way to go. You may even consider light to help party members, and prestidigitation has a lot of flexibility.
You have really low Dex and Con...so you don’t need to be anywhere near combat...I’m also not sure why you maxed Wis or have higher Cha...I’d put some of your Wis and Cha points into Dex for better AC, initiative, and a better chance to hit with Green Flame Blade. You don’t need to max Dex but a +3 or +4 modifier would help you out
True Strike is a garbage cantrip...Toll the Dead or Ray of Frost would be better
your spell list at current is highly out of balance and needs more damaging spells and a more even distribution across your slots...remember you can prepare a new list every long rest so you don’t have to have all those utility spells ready al the time
Literally any other Cantrip at all. Anything is better than True Strike.
DxJxC has made some really good suggestions. You will likely only use 2 (maybe 3 at the absolute most) combat cantrips. Usually people take one with an attack roll and one with a saving throw, different damage types. Some folks like having two different saving throw Cantrips that require different saves, but usually that means they skipped having a Cantrip that requires an attack roll. (Some folks just do 3 combat Cantrips, but not many.) Other than that, utility stuff is great. I personally take a spell like Prestidigitation on every character I can. I know I’ll likely end up casting it more often than the combat Cantrips.
And as SwiftSign pointed out, if this is your first character, focus more on levels 1-5. Level 20 takes a couple years, if you get there. Even level 5 will take a few months.

This varies quite a bit by group. In AL, you pretty much gain a level every session, so at 1 session a week, it takes 5 months. Some groups meet more or less regularly or have shorter or longer sessions, so if any comparison to real time should be made it is play time (which in AL can be as low as like 57 hours).

Toll the dead, shocking grasp, mind sliver, ray of frost, minor illusion, mage hand.
