Everyone leave your planned 2024 feats and epic boon and reply to others with your feedback/advice. I’ll start:
Verdan Celestial Warlock
1: Tough
4: Fey Touched + 1 Cha (18)
8: +2 Cha (20)
12: +2 Con (18)
16: + 2 Con (20)
19: Epic Boon of Fortitude (Con 21)
The idea is to have my health as high as possible through +40’s in Tough and Fortitude to maximize my Searing Vengeance ability at level 14, which brings me back to half my total health. In addition, Fortitude increases my healing powers based on my Constitution.
RAW you can only get tough as a Verdan if you take the farmer background and that means putting your ability bonuses in Str Con or Wis.
If you are not particularly attached to Verdan you could be Human and get Tough as your extra level 1 feat. I think entertainer is the best background for a Warlock +2 Cha, +1 dex and a great feat (though it boosts your allies rathe than you), though if you want a +1 Con you could go with something like Merchant.
We play live and my custom figure from my friend at the time, and its’ green (he’s in my icon), so i need like an Orc, Goblin, Water Genasi or something like that.
Isn’t there suppose to be Custom Backgrounds? Don’t get me wrong; I would prefer a traditional one, but if it’s required I’ll do it. Or am I missing something.
I’ll have to research the entertainer background. I don’t understand what the feat is, but I’ll be sure to look into it. I think I’d prefer the merchant if I had to pick though for the combination I’m going for. I want to be able to maximize both my Charisma and Constitution for as much health as possible.
One thing I could do was use the new Warlock Eldritch Invocation to get Touch as an extra level 1 feat. Maybe I’ll go that route.
If you choose an older background that wasn't included in the new PHB, you can select any Origin feat (if the backround doesn't already include one) and a custom ASI.

Does anyone know if the Epic Feat Boon of Combat Prowess is considered a critical hit?
Say I have Great Weapon master and I chose to put the +6 on the one attack that is guaranteed to hit, what happens? do I automatically get a bonus attack ever single round of combat? When I roll for damage do I roll twice as per a critical hit?
I think this is what is called Theory crafting. I don't have anyone doing that but I was looking at the new rules and I wondered about it. It would be a good way to get low magic item games at very high character levels the ability to do some real damage.
20th level fighter with a non-magical great sword, Great Weapon Master Feat, Epic boon of Combat Prowess, graze and 20 STR. First strike is an auto hit for 7 + 5 + 6 = 18. Next three misses are +5, +5 +5 so 18+15=33
So a CR 30 Gargantuan Monster with average hit points and a 30 CON would be 30 x (11+10) = 630 hit points. 630 / 33 =~19 so if my fighter can survive 20 rounds of combat that creature is dead!!!!
If Great Weapon Master plus Epic Feat of Boon of Combat Prowess is a critical hit, I would also get a bonus attack raising my damage from 33 to 38 and double rolling my 7 to a 14 would give me a new damage total of 45. 630 / 45 = 14. So my fighter would need to survive about 15 rounds with the beast. If this works then my fighter will be killing ancient red dragons like they were fish in a barrel.
I'm pretty sure it's not considered a critical hit. The rules usually specify when an attack is an auto crit., like with the Paralyzed condition. So I really doubt it'd do that with the Combat Prowess feat.

Oh yeah! I totally forgot! Thank you!
His means I can keep my old background too! I just have to hope they don’t remake it ironically.
