Spellcasting. The Zhentarim Boss is a 9th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). The mage has the following spells prepared:
• Cantrips (at will): blade ward, vicious mockery, minor illusion
• 1st level (4 slots): bane, dissonant whispers, healing word, charm person
• 2nd level (3 slots): crown of madness, silence
• 3rd level (3 slots): fear, bestow curse, hypnotic pattern
• 4th level (3 slots): greater invisibility, confusion
• 5th level (1 slot): hold monster
Multiattack. The Zhentarim Boss makes two melee attacks.
Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d8+5); slashing damage.
Spot an Opening. When an ally of the Zhentarim Boss makes a weapon attack against an enemy, the Zhentarim Boss may use their reaction to grant advantage on the roll.
