Echolocation. The bat can't use its blindsight while deafened.
Keen Hearing. The bat has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing.
Actions
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 1 piercing damage.
Nope, that's not how that works. When rolling for HP, you always get a minimum of 1 hp. You cannot get 0 or lower when rolling.
In the face it looks like a tardy Ewok.
I came here for the bread.
Where is the bread?
Yeah, what's up with the bread?
I WANT MY BREAD!!!
I'm very late, but actually, most swarms have a reach of 0 feet.

Bread...
Where is the bread?
Bat
5 ft is the minimum reach for attacks in 5e. I agree with you that it is confusing, considering the average humanoid and a tiny fly have the same reach.
Edit: @TheAleomancer, you're correct that swarms only target creatures in their space, 5 feet isn't the minimum but it is for non-swarms.
+0 to hit
I like bread
The Bread is a Critical Role reference to the 2nd Campaign Episode 76 "Refjorged"
What is the official habitat for a bat?
I like bread too! BREAD BROS
I like bread.
The Bat Looks Very Nice
5ft means adjacent. Even though bats are small, they still control 5 ft, so a 5ft range is adjacent
If you've got your bat familiar on your shoulder and you're seeing and listening through its senses, how close to normal actions are you? Can you move/attack/cast/etc as normal, but with blindsight as an added ability?
