Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw or take 10 (3d6) poison damage. If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.
This gives me the supreme goosebumbs
ME too
Well, how BIG is it?? doesn't seem THAT giant.
Unfortunately with it being size Small, only a few feet. Nothing like the ones you’d expect from the Peter Jackson King Kong stuff lol.
In my mind the Centipedes are the Children of a Behir.
I just got conjure animals as a bard and you're telling me I can summon EIGHT of these ?! That's 8 rolls of 3d6 damage if they fail the saves.. WOW
my frend homebrew tamed this ting it was our first section and he roled 18 so dm sed ok
With giant insect you can get 10
Best Beast Master Ranger companion. CHANGE MY MIND.
im a druid and i can turn into this nightmare whenever i want
I’m pretty sure the pic is wrong on this one.
no, that's just the basic picture displayed for beasts when the creature doesn't have its own artwork
can we have some art for this here?
Here's one for you, same challenge rating
Giant Poisonous Snake:
Better HP, AC, Damage (Half on a success compared to nothing from this), Reach, Stats, and is a higher size category so could more versatile for grappling things
The paralysis is nice, but unless you are always trying to knock things unconscious I'd say the snake is more useful
Goblins are small, and they can be 4 feet tall.
So with the Poisoner feat and being a Druid you ignore resistance in animal form, so this form comes in useful to incapacitate enemies. Paralyzed enemies are as good as dead enemies, there isn't an additional save after failure on this poison, once paralyzed you have 1 hour to do with them whatever you wish.
The poison damage leaves PCs unconscious but stable rather than dying, which is nice, since this thing hits like a truck for being CR 1/4. These are a good way to knock the party unconscious in a sealed-off dead end and have them awaken tied to stakes in a kobold lair.
Nearly had one of these guys as a pet but the one rogue killed the one i was trying to tame because it bit the other rogue that tried to feed it money. Rest in peace possible friend you will be missed.
i would guess it would be a centipede in the scolopendra order, possibly scolopendra heros or scolopendra gigantea
I saw it was a small beast and was disappointed because I wanted to use them in replace of carriages in my campaign, now I will have to make a homebrew and use this as a template or find something else.
