Posted Feb 11, 2025I'm with about 5% of the commentors here that this is intended to be a vicious, ravenous slaughter-beast and not a cute plushy. I remember being eaten by these like a snack back in 2E times. But now I'm wondering, if WotC made the gibbering mouther's picture cute enough, if everyone would want one for a pet and the party would just wear earmuffs.

Posted Mar 16, 2025Owlbears are Monstrosities so you can't Wild Shape into them. Plus, at CR 3, it'd be awhile before you even could (if it was possible). The D&D movie lied to you.

Posted Mar 18, 2025we just found an owl bear egg currently working on taking notes for raising it, the cost to feed it and training it. I don’t think they know what they’re in for. Do you guys use timeouts for the representation for the caring and the training? How do you guys handle that or does the whole company just take it as a turn

Posted Apr 16, 2025Sometimes people ask "Why would a wizard create an owlbear? Bears are already really dangerous, why mix an owl in there?"
That's why.

Posted Apr 18, 2025I am a 4th lvl circle of the moon druid, I would like to know how you managed to talk your DM into allowing this, as the Mo ster Manual lists them as Monstrosities, and per the rule book, only beast creature type are legal for wild shape. Because when I hit lvl 9, I would like to be able to do this as well. LoL
