Multiattack. The giant makes two greatclub attacks.
Greatclub. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (4d10 + 6) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Posted Jan 16, 2020The massive athletics score is nice.
The high DEX (for a Huge creature) is also noteworthy.

Posted Feb 23, 2020Well, they're described as natural athletes and the closest a giant can get to being graceful. It's little bits like that which make this more than a generic "20-foot-tall viking" style of Giant

Posted Jul 24, 2022I love giants. Usually if my party is on the stronger side I'll give the giants (or one of the giants if there is multiple) an additional ability:
The flavor text under Dreamers under Sky. has a part that talks about the stone giants attacking trespassers with "showers of splintered stone" and I think this ability can really add that into a fight. Plus it reminds me of the Attack on Titan giant that breaks up boulders and demolishes entire neighborhoods with a fistful of shrapnel. It's a lot of fun.

Posted Jul 24, 2022A standard group of 4ish Level 4s will struggle and most likely lose to this thing. On the flipside, level 5 players are significantly stronger then level 4 players and could handle this guy easily. Maybe whenever you bump them to level 5 have them go against a stone giant and a pet cave bear, that would be a good fight.

Posted Sep 11, 2022Six lvl three’s makes it a hard encounter according the “Encounter Builder.” But lose one of them in the fight it becomes deadly.
So two a one and a two going against this guy; they’d have to be OP as hell. Even then your really leaning hard into a TPK.

Posted Feb 13, 2023I was in a party of 4 lvl 4 characters against one of these, and we kinda demolished him. Wizard, warlock, cleric and rogue. Although the rogue did do 2 pretty juicy crits. None of us were knocked down though
