Posted May 19, 2024Because they don't always have a pic for all the creatures, and as such they use a base image for the creature type. The beast type happens to have a tiger or something as its image.

Posted Jun 6, 2024My friend had a riding horse (female). And I had a war horse (male) and we made them breed and now we have a very intimidating riding horse (we kinda have 9 of them tamed by both of us including the adults)

Posted Aug 4, 2024Hey Paladins and other summoners, I use a warhose as a paladin and i have a question, would the horse be included as one of my actions or does it have its own turn (like a hunters pet) and then i have my turn, yesterday I played it as if he had his own turn (we trampled the enemy until they were bone and sinue) and then i had my turn and decapitated the other enemy it was so freaking awesome but my DM was not sure if i was supposed to use it this way but my arguement would be if thats the case then the rangers pet takes an action from the ranger.
how do you use it?

Posted Aug 8, 2024Hey, I think it depends on if you got it from the Find Steed spell or not, which I assume you did because you specified for paladins.
So, if you go to the player's handbook and look in chapter 9, you'll see a section for mounted combat that explains those rules for you.
Now, the thing here that's weird is the text of the Find Steed spell. It talks about you and your mount having an instinctive bond and fighting as a seamless unit or whatnot. Sounds cool, hut what does that actually mean? Is that just flavor text for the next sentence? They don't really bloat their spells with flavor text.
Personally, I run the Find Steed spell's mount as a mix of the trained and independent mount. You can bring it under your control to act on your turn, but it still retains its "autonomy" to keep all its actions. Basically, 2 creatures taking their turn at the same time. It's telepathically linked to you and you guys are supposed to have this instinctive bond that keeps y'all in sync. Makes perfect sense to me.
