Shapechanger. The werewolf can use its action to polymorph into a wolf-humanoid hybrid or into a wolf, or back into its true form, which is humanoid. Its statistics, other than its AC, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.
Keen Hearing and Smell. The werewolf has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.
Multiattack. (Humanoid or Hybrid Form Only). The werewolf makes two attacks: two with its spear (humanoid form) or one with its bite and one with its claws (hybrid form).
Bite (Wolf or Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with werewolf lycanthropy.
Claws. (Hybrid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) slashing damage.
Spear (Humanoid Form Only). Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage, or 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack.

Posted Jun 27, 2024If anyone wants to play as a werewolf or other lycanthrope, they can use this page, which gets rid of the silver invulnerability while retaining player control and allowing shapechange. This also includes the werefox race which is basically a rogue's version of werewolf.

Posted Jul 11, 2024It would be pretty wonky if they used spears in wolf form.

Posted Aug 22, 2024No they're not. They're immune to bludgeoning damage from nonmagical attacks. Falling isn't an attack.

Posted Dec 20, 2024The chaos in me wants to say yes, but that would a Richard Maneuver as a DM and broke as a player.
If I were doing it a werewolf resisting I would make the humanoid form the true form and if they embraced it the wolf would be their true form.

Posted May 16, 2025Is it an okay idea for me to make a human join the party but actually they are a werewolf and they are the villan trying to mislead the travelers. But are commanded by an evil tiefling that was attacking the town that sent the travelers to stop whoever had been sending goblins to attack the town?

Posted Jun 4, 2025I'm working on a werewolf character right now for my steampunk campaign.
He has this machine hooked up to his back that feeds adrenaline into his blood, keeping him in a state of perpetual lycanthropy
