Traits
Earth Glide. The xorn can burrow through nonmagical, unworked earth and stone. While doing so, the xorn doesn't disturb the material it moves through.
Stone Camouflage. The xorn has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in rocky terrain.
Treasure Sense. The xorn can pinpoint, by scent, the location of precious metals and stones, such as coins and gems, within 60 feet of it.
Actions
Multiattack. The xorn makes three claw attacks and one bite attack.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (3d6 + 3) piercing damage.
It's a shame...
In previous editions the xorn was much more powerful. What happened? I love the initial ideas- treasure seekers who ate minerals and didn't attack for no reason. They've been reduced to "Because a xorn isn't evil, it pleads or bargains in the hope of convincing owners to give up their treasure, offering up information it has learned from its travels in exchange. A xorn whose requests are ignored might resort to threats and bullying. If starving or angered, it resorts to force."
I might make a homebrew OG xorn...but I'm too lazy to do it without encouragement. Or maybe a race- I saw some mentions of this in the other comments. Someone, please convince me to do one of these! T~T
You know that party with to much treasure back at the keep. Roll me a percentage dice. Apparently he stopped by when you had been out and remembers where to find the rest. What do you do?
I love these little weirdos
My name is xorn(lol)

if he was not earth he'd probs be abberation
Shouldnt they have immunity to fire and cold?
You could say ... he has expensive taste.
This monster is a pretty solid monster to summon if you are going into a mine just make sure you use it to get precious materials before you leave the mine if it's still alive

We gave three of these guys a bunch of treasure and now they are fighting for us. They make quite nice bodyguards
