3 level 2 played killed this only one near death
I am planning to throw this bad boy into my Frozen Sick run this week. I started the players at level 2 and balanced the encounters to match. They should be level 3 when they hit this guy. Still might have some of its HP missing when they encounter it though! I guess what I'm saying is, remember these are just guidelines to have fun with!
As one of the players, it was intimidating, but doable. Felt good to get it down finally
The creature has a +4 STR mod, and a +3 Prof. bonus yet the attack modifier is only +6, not +7 like I thought it would be. Does it use CON for its bite attack then to get that +6? Or was this supposed to be a CR4 creature that never had it's Prof. correctly added to its attack?
(By "correctly" I mean across all sources, in the Monster Manual it too is +6)
This thing is meant to be fought for like a full party of level 4 players.
My entire party died to this thing, what I am trying to say is that its way too OP.
These aren't as bad as they seem as long as you have a good tank. I played a bear totem Barbarian Goliath. We were a 5 man level 6 party. In one encounter we successfully defeated 2 young rhemoraz, 1 adult, and 2 frost giants. We started fresh but it took everything we had. My main job was using great weapon master to overcome the HP trade from heated body.

We actually beat it no problem in a party of four level 2s or 3s. Rouge is extremely OP early game, and even though she took about 13 fire damage per turn, the druid could heal her (she had a decently sized constitution). I don't remember much, I'm just guessing more than anything, but I remember we beat it and didn't die or anything.
I´m planning to do that in my campaign with my friends when they´re higher level. There´s a lvl 2 rogue, a lvl 2 cleric, and a lvl 3 warlock.
Wait how did you befriend it? I want it as a pet lol
also can it be charmed?
it is 20ft tho
you could have an adult one step in
Yeah, they fixed it a while ago
I need this as a pet
Frozen sick is leaning into the survival side of the game , this shows your heros that running very much is a good survival tactic. Godspeed may they have the int to figure out tremore sense and the dex to pass the steahl check to make it out
