Yea luckily my fighter rolled a Nature check and I let him know about the monster. I had to switch to long bow and it wasn’t going well. Luckily my sorceress kept hitting with acid blast. SMH. It started by ambushing my cleric and almost killed it in one turn.
Had I tried, I could have killed the whole party of three lvl 5s.
If your characters can use ranged weapons and magic, then it shouldn't be a problem if they split up.
