Spellcasting. Zergen is an 10th-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 16, +9 to hit with spell attacks). The archmage can cast disguise self and invisibility at will and has the following wizard spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): fire bolt, control flames, create bonfire, produce flame
1st level (3 slots): burning hands, mage armor, absorb elements
2nd level (3 slots): flaming sphere, scorching ray, misty step
3rd level (3 slots): counterspell, fly, fireball
4th level (3 slots): fire shield, wall of fire
5th level (3 slots): cloudkill, immolation, flame strike

Zergen has three legendary actions he can use immediately after another creature’s turn. He regains all unspent actions at the start of his turn.
Cast a spell of third level or lower
Magma Rift Zergan creates a 60x5 ft rift in an area of loose dirt or stone centered on a point within 100ft of him. Any creature in this area must make a DC 14 dex save, falling in on a failure or moving up to five feet away from the rift on a success. The rift is 60ft deep and has 10ft of magma in the bottom. When a creature enters the magma for the first time on their turn or starts their turn init they take 6d6 fire damage.
