Actions

Multiattack. The yuan-ti makes one Bite attack and two Scimitar attacks, or it makes two Spectral Fangs attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage. The target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target is poisoned for 1 minute.

Scimitar (Yuan-ti Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.

Spellcasting (Yuan-ti Form Only). The yuan-ti casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 15):

At will: animal friendship (snakes only), minor illusionmage handmessage

3/day: suggestion

2/day each: fearinvisibility

Bonus Actions

Change Shape. The yuan-ti transforms into a Medium snake or back into its true form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn’t transformed. If it dies, it stays in its current form. While in snake form, the yuan-ti has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks to hide, otherwise its statistics are the same in each form.

Cunning Escape (Snake Form Only). The yuan-ti doubles its move speed for the turn and may take the Hide action for free at the end of its turn.
