Actions

Multiattack. The dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) lightning damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Ionized Breath (Recharge 5–6). The song dragon exhales a blueish cloud of gas flickering with tiny lightnings in a 30-foot cone. Nonmagical fires in the area are snuffed out, and illusions caused by spells of 2nd level or lower are dispelled. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 40 (9d8) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Bonus Actions

Change Shape. The song dragon transforms into a Medium Humanoid of CR 7 or lower, or back into its true form. The dragon decides whether any equipment worn or carried is dropped or melds with its new form. In either shape, the dragon keeps its alignment, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores, known languages and proficiencies, damage and condition immunities, and this bonus action. When it drops to 0 hit points in its Humanoid body, it transforms back into a Dragon, with any remaining damage carrying over into its new form. After its Humanoid form is reduced to 0 hit points, the song dragon loses this bonus action until it regains all its hit points in its true form. The song dragon doesn't die until reduced to 0 hit points in its true form.

Description

Also known, incorrectly, as 'weredragons', and often confused with copper, silver, or other metallic dragons, song dragons possess the rare innate ability to transform into a humanoid from birth, a shape they're almost more comfortable in than their true form. Though true dragons, and possessing metallic scales, song dragons are not metallic dragons.

A young song dragon has dull metallic silver-blue scales and bright blue or silver eyes. As they age, their pupils fade until they're almost invisible.
