Traits

Brave. Zhang Fei has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

Actions

Multiattack. Zhang Fei makes three melee attacks.

Glaive Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (4d8 + 3) slashing damage.

Heavy Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 100/400 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d10) piercing damage.

Leadership (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). For 1 minute, Zhang Fei can utter a special command or warning whenever a nonhostile creature that it can see within 30 feet of it makes an attack roll or a saving throw. The creature can add a d4 to its roll provided it can hear and understand the knight. A creature can benefit from only one Leadership die at a time. This effect ends if the knight is incapacitated.

Reactions

Parry. Zhang Fei adds 2 to his AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, Zhang Fei must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

Description

Zhang Fei was a military general serving under the warlord Liu Bei in the late Eastern Han dynasty and early Three Kingdoms period of China. Zhang Fei and Guan Yu, who were among the earliest to join Liu Bei, shared a brotherly relationship with their lord and accompanied him on most of his early exploits. Zhang Fei fought in various battles on Liu Bei's side, including the Red Cliffs campaign (208–209), the takeover of Yi Province (212–214), and Hanzhong Campaign(217–218)
