Whenever this creature kills a warm blooded creature, a 'blood rose' will grow directly above the heart assuming there is room and it will quicken the decomposure process of the dead body as the rose feasts on the creature's body which will heal the creature for 1d4 every turn and feed the creature. The more blood roses this creature has then the more
In a hot/tropical area, the body will decompose in 2 days. In a normal temperature area, the body will decompose in 5 days. In a frigid area, the body will decompose in 10 days. After the body decomposes, the blood rose will decompose in a similar amount of time unless picked. Upon picking the rose, the beast may become more active, usually tracking down the one who has picked the rose and killing them as the beast will become hungry as the rose is the way it feasts unless there is enough roses to keep it sustained.
Once the body and rose has decomposed or been picked, the beast will continue its hunt for more food. If it goes without food for 5 days, it will die. Making the idea of capturing and starving the creature preferred over direct combat to lower level parties.
