Drunken Mastery. Zalvec has disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws while sober. While intoxicated, he has advantage on Dexterity saving throws and ability checks and gains the benefit of the Blur spell for as long as he remains intoxicated.

Fey Patron. Zalvec's warlock patron is a mischievous fey being, which manifests through his chaotic and unpredictable magical abilities. His spells often have unintended, wild effects due to his unstable casting style.

Fickle Magic. Whenever Zalvec casts a spell of 1st level or higher, roll a d20. On a 1-2, a wild magic surge occurs (similar to the sorcerer’s Wild Magic table).

Aura of Chaos (1/Day). As a bonus action, Zalvec can activate his chaotic aura. For 1 minute, any creature within 10 feet of Zalvec must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw at the start of its turn or suffer a random wild magic effect from the sorcerer’s Wild Magic table.

Cantrips (at will): Eldritch Blast

Eldritch BlastRanged Spell Attack: +8 to hit. range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 4) force damage.

2nd level (3 slots): Ray of Sickness, Crown of Madness

Ray of Sickness (2nd-level spell; 3/Day). Ranged Spell Attack: +8 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (3d8 + 4) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned until the end of Zalvec's next turn.

Crown of Madness (2nd-level spell; 1/Day). Zalvec attempts to charm a humanoid within 120 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed for 1 minute. While charmed, the creature must use its action to attack a creature Zalvec designates. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Legendary Resistance (1/Day)

If Zalvec fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

 

Actions

Multiattack. Zalvec makes two Eldritch Blast attacks.

Drunken Lurch (Recharge 5-6). Zalvec stumbles and spills his drink, creating a 15-foot-radius area of slick alcohol on the ground centered on himself. Creatures in the area must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. Zalvec can move up to his speed without provoking opportunity attacks as part of this action.

Legendary Actions (1/Day)

Zalvec can take 1 legendary action at the end of another creature’s turn. This action can only be used when he is below half health.

Chaotic Surge. Zalvec calls upon his patron to disrupt the battlefield with chaotic energy. Each creature within 30 feet must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a random wild magic effect (from the Wild Magic table) occurs to that creature. Zalvec is unaffected.

Bonus Actions

Misty Step (2nd-level spell; 2/Day). Zalvec teleports up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that he can see.

Reactions

Unstable Counterspell (3rd-level spell; 1/Day). When Zalvec sees a creature within 60 feet casting a spell, he can attempt to counter it. He rolls a d20, adding his Charisma modifier. On a roll of 12 or higher, the spell is countered. On a roll of 11 or lower, the spell is not countered, and a random magical effect occurs instead (use the Wild Magic table).
