What's in the Book?
Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants delves into the ancient history of one of the primordial empires on the Material Plane, the legendary giants. The book sheds light on the giants’ ordning—the hierarchical structure of their civilization—as well as their religious beliefs and societal organizations across different realms.
For players, Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants introduces a tremendous amount of mighty character options, such as the Path of the Giant barbarian subclass, which allows barbarians to channel the elemental and immense power of giants when they rage. Players will also find two backgrounds, including the giant foundling background, and eight feats that allow them to incorporate the glory of giants in their character’s backstory and as they level up!
This sourcebook also provides over 30 giant-themed magic items, including three legendary artifacts, while offering Dungeon Masters valuable tools like lair maps, adventure hooks, encounter tables, treasure ideas, and inspiration for roleplaying giants.
Last, and certainly not least, this book presents a gargantuan collection of giant monsters, offering more than 70 new stat blocks and a detailed exploration of their descriptions, lore, and mannerisms, providing a vibrant ecosystem of colossal creatures to encounter.
Explore the Primordial Power of Giants
Long ago, the giants were a mighty empire that ruled over the early days of the Material Plane. Today, you'll discover isolated tribes and clans of giants throughout the multiverse, each with a unique way of life and links to the bygone kingdom. Remnants of their ancient empires can still be found in remote regions, where statues and monuments stand as testaments to their mighty societies and rich history.
The Ordning
Among the various types of giants, including cloud giants, fire giants, frost giants, hill giants, stone giants, and storm giants, there exists a structured social hierarchy known as the ordning. Each giant is assigned a rank within this caste system, determining their social standing and relationships with others. Some giants dedicate their lives to excelling in the qualities valued by their society, seeking to rise within the ordning.
The Giants’ Pantheon
It is said that when the giants fell from glory, their god, Annam, abandoned his children and would not return until they reestablished an empire fit for their station.
Because of this, giants often do not pray to their progenitor but to his divine children and other hero-deities that constitute the giants' pantheon. The sons of Annam, representing each subsection of giantkind, hold significant positions among the religious beliefs of the various giant civilizations.
Some giants decide to shun their peers’ gods and turn to deities outside of societal norms, seeking power to defy their position in the ordning, a grave transgression against the ordning that results in social ostracism.
Fee-fi-fo-fum!
Throughout the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse, giants stand as colossal figures with a rich and complex history. Whether you want to delve into the secrets of their fallen empires, create a character connected to these primordial beings, or build an entire campaign surrounding their mysteries, Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants is your ultimate handbook!

Looking forward to using this for my Storm King's Thunder campaign!
Wasn't there a Druid subclass in the UA that seemed related to this book? Also tired of sourcebooks containing only 1-2 subclasses or 1-2 races. Like come on...
looks interesting
The promos only mention the Path of Giants barbarian, did the dinosaur themed druid and rune themed wizard not make the final grade?
the artwork is amazing i would love to pre order this just for the art!!!
Anyone planning to run SKT without this book is probably doing themselves a disservice. I'll be starting the campaign Q3 this year. This times up perfectly!
If you have a campaign, please add Geraldo the Etherwalker (tall and deathly pale, can go between space and time) merchant. He will sell anything for a 10% upkeep.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. GIANTS ARE FINALLY GETTING THE SHINE THEY DESERVE.
For those, it's easier to wait till the book comes out on D&D Beyond, and then just pay ~$2 per item to download particular races or subclasses or backgrounds, etc. that you want to use. I stopped buying books after Journey Through the Radiant Citadel, because unless you plan to run an entire campaign, all new WotC books tend to have somewhere between 0 and 5 items I can actually use, and the rest is irrelevant information dump.
So as long as WotC continues to allow us to just download the parts we can actually use, it's the better option for many of us. A better option than paying $60 for a book I won't really use, anyway...
So how many subclasses is a "tremendous amount"? You mentioned one subclass only. Is there more than one subclass in this book?
I looked it up in their store. 1 subclass only. This is not a book for players.
i was looking forward to the circle of dinos druid, not a big fan of only getting one subclass previous books at least had two. i guess the rune wizard and the dino druid just didn't fit the theme
"Last, and certainly not least, this book presents a gargantuan collection of giant monsters, offering more than 70 new stat blocks..."
My concern here is that the 70 new stat blocks may follow the copy-paste approach that was used in Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, rather than the unique design and abilities we would expect.
Didn’t they say this would come out in Spring when they first announced it?
Can't wait to buy another D&D book and be sorely disappointed that it wasn't worth it...
Lol, this is great! Except I just created a campaign for my team of players called the Ruins of Vonnenheim where I finally created a backstory of Giant history (after I read Storm Kings Thunder I felt more needed to be produced about Giant Lore) where the players would "wander into" the ancient Giant capital and enter into an aboleth plot to have the giant-dragon war erupt all over again in the hopes of restoring the lost aboleth empire.
Guess i'll just have to wait for the book and revise this new campaign from what I see is published. lol.
This has the quality of an essay written by a third grader. DnDbeyond was better before wotc.
Circle Of The Primeval, which I thought was very promising, it's a shame we aren't getting it here.
This looks rlly cool.
wait i thought there where going to be 3 subclasses on this book
druid, wizard and barbarian
