yep
Congratulations For The 50th anniversary! Happy to be here ;)
Probably similar to how Monsters of the Multiverse handled anything it incorporated and updated from past material. It's still there, but just marked as legacy content.

How very exciting!
Any word on an updated SRD? If that happens, what might the timeline be on that?
Will my dndbeyond access to the previous version of the PHB and DMG be affected by the new release in Fall?
New books to buy!?
I mean i love these books, but they are pretty expensive.
But all things aside, this is pretty amazing and beatiful!
Try not to cry!
Congrats on the Anniversary! Great thing to team with Lego. I can't wait too see what folks come up with. There certainly should be a Lego D&D World, use the cast of the cartoon to populate it.
I'd like Greyhawk too, but there is plenty of material out there and if you want to keep that old school feel you have to restrict a lot of the new options anyway. Greyhawk will always be my D&D home!
How can you "love" anything, when you all you know is the title of the book?
Thank you DnD Beyond! Really looking forward to The Making of...
TBH - I am not super thrilled with the releases planned. A history of DnD book? I lived through it from very first Gygax boxed set through every edition. I have bought a lot of books over the years - didn't buy 4th ed though. What I really would like is a new compendium of monsters, one for new spells and magic items.
I am interested to see how that works too.
I love D&D, and I have made several friends through it. It feels awesome to celebrate this with everyone!
already using it
Given all the danger notifications wotc plasters over any original material they now sell, I am sure that the grand master will not be treated well in the upcoming "history" of D&D. For a small group, world history is viewed through a very different lens than even 5 or 8 years ago. Jon Peterson sounds like decent bloke. The book apparently is looking at the genesis of D&D through notes and correspondence between Gygax and Arneson. But I am positive that it will be presented via that lens I spoke of.
See you all at Gary Con.
This is a moment I will save and look back on with happiness for the rest of my life!! Thank you Wizards Of The Coast and everyone helping to support them and the game!!!
what cartoon?
