Happy New Year!
This post kicks off an ongoing conversation about upcoming partnered content releases and our general vision for how we welcome partner creators to our platform. Up until now, we have been dropping most of these releases without prior announcement. While this does allow the buzz to surprise and excite players, we have heard your feedback.
Starting this year, we will be publishing our partnered content roadmap for D&D Beyond every quarter! Whether you’re a player, a Dungeon Master, or both, our intent is to give you clearer visibility into what’s coming so you can plan and decide what releases you want to bring to the table!

Partnered Content on D&D Beyond

We want to start by talking about the people who keep Dungeons & Dragons growing beyond any single book or release: you.
Our community makes the worlds of Dungeons & Dragons come to life. Dungeon Masters, players, and creators have always been at the heart of D&D, and we love that creativity.
Looking at the year ahead of us, we’re excited to continue welcoming partnered content to D&D Beyond to support the imagination and hard work of our community while allowing players to play their way.
Q1 2026 Partnered Content Roadmap
![]() Exploring Eberron (2024) — January 27Created by Eberron’s original setting designer, Keith Baker, Exploring Eberron (2024) dives deeper into the world’s history, cultures, religions, and philosophies. This updated release brings that rich lore to D&D Beyond, along with more than forty new character options. You’ll find new species, feats, and subclasses—including options built to complement the newly released Artificer—integrated into the Character Builder. |
![]() The Pugilist Class (2024) — February 3This beloved DMs Guild class is finally coming to D&D Beyond! The Pugilist offers a distinct, flavorful take on melee combat, with subclasses that lean into brawlers, boxers, and other fists-first fighters. It’s a class with a lot of personality, and we’re excited to see how players bring it to life. |
![]() Faster, Purple Worm! Everybody Dies, Vol. 1 (2024) — February 24Beadle & Grimm’s Pandemonium Warehouse This popular collection of level 1 one-shots from the chaotic comedy series Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! comes to D&D Beyond with quickplay maps, making it easier than ever to jump straight into the memorable sessions these adventures are sure to create. Die quickly, laugh loudly, and get playing with minimal prep! |
![]() Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting: Part 2 (2014) — Early MarchThe anticipated second half of Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting arrives this year on D&D Beyond. To deliver the best possible experience within our digital tools, this release has been thoughtfully adapted to support the kind of monster-hunting gameplay fans of the series love, while using D&D Beyond's time-saving features to their utmost.
|
![]() The Griffon’s Saddlebag: Book One (2024) — Late MarchAfter launching Book Two on D&D Beyond last year, we’re excited to bring Book One to the platform as well. This release rounds out the collection with more beautifully illustrated magic items, ready to drop directly into your game. |
*This roadmap is subject to change.
Our Vision for Partnered Content on D&D Beyond
When exploring partnered content to add to D&D Beyond, we’re thoughtful about the creators we bring in and the experiences we present to you.
We look for projects that integrate smoothly with our evolving play tools and bring something distinctive to your table—whether that’s mechanical depth, narrative richness, or a balance of both.
This isn’t a rigid formula. The evaluation of partnered content is approached with care, curiosity, and a two-way relationship with creators. Our goal is to treat D&D Beyond as a curated experience, one where you can discover great partnered content with confidence.
This is just the beginning. We’ll have more to share soon. Meanwhile, if you’re excited by a particular creator’s content, let us know!
Thanks for being part of the journey as we build the future of partnered content on D&D Beyond together.

I’ve been wanting pugilist on here for years. Even homebrewed a hacked together kinda sorta subclass modification to the monk over 7 years ago. Also made sure to ask for it every time I saw requests for what 3pp to include. So excited!! Thanks for adding this and continuing to include third party partnered content in the site.

Posted Jan 21, 2026So now we know why part 2 took forever.
They couldn't get the Tamer working.
This is why Beyond needs a ground-up rework.
Because LITERALLY EVERY OTHER SERVICE HAS IT WORKING. & they don't have the coding issue.
Legacy coding needs to be removed, & the site reworked, so character sheets are more flexible so more material can be adapted.

Posted Jan 21, 2026Is there a plan to make it so Partner Content can be used in the character creator with the 2024 rule set? Currently without using homebrew content I can't use partnered content.

Posted Jan 21, 2026Why is the The Griffon’s Saddlebag: Book One gonna be 2024 and not 2014 like the 1st one? Do we at least get to choose which one we can get so for those that use 2014 can have the sub-classes, feats and spells more easily?
I can understand the difficulty of putting the Tamer class but maybe we could still have it and have the companions in the feat section or the extras section? Maybe a familiar section on the sheet like they do on Demiplane for the PF2 could make it easier?
But I'm glad on getting a heads up this time unlike the others that just surprised dropped out of nowhere and then get a trailer for it.

Posted Jan 21, 2026So adding whole new classes is a ton of work on the site to make it work in the character creator, meanwhile creating subclasses is a bit easier even if some of the features aren't 100% workable via the homebrew tools for making a new Subclass. Is that about right? That would explain why basically we just have the Artificer and that is like it's whole own thing, and of course we can't homebrew a class on it's own.
So any partner content that includes a whole class and not just a subclass of an existing class cannot have functionality with the D&DBeyond Character builder at this time. Does that sum up that issue correctly?
Looking forward to a bunch of these and hope we get more announcements as they come out.

Posted Jan 21, 2026They can add new classes (the Pugilist listed in this article is one example, and they have already added classes for some existing third party books). Technically speaking, any class might be added provided enough work was put into making it happen. The Tamer is presumably a case where they're not prepared to do so because they consider the work involved too difficult. I imagine it includes mechanics the character builder doesn't already support that would involve a more extensive rework of the site's code.

Posted Jan 21, 2026With all of this partnered content, it would be really great if the dndbeyond app had the ability to filter, with one button, so only the stuff we own is shown. It's so cumbersome to go through the list of sources to select the sources that I think I own

Posted Jan 21, 2026Agreed. I think its a similar Problem as with MCMDs Companions - the Tamed Animals themselves have like their own Character Formulas + Level System, I dont really think there is currently anything similar so it would have to be made as a completely new feature, which seems pointless given that there is a plan to overhaul the code from DNDBeyond from Ground 0 so putting work into something that needs to be completely redone shortly afterwards may be something unattractive business wise.

Posted Jan 21, 2026Most likely, it's because of the mechanics of “pets.” Unlike rangers or other classes that have companions, Heliana's pets have a separate leveling system. Every time you level up, your pets level up too, Each one has several options. Not only must you choose whether to increase their CA, HP, or movement speed, but there are some, such as dragolins, that require you to choose between multiple special options for their race.
This is unlike the rangers' companions, who simply add their PB to their attack and defense.
This is a shame because it was the only reason I wanted to buy the second part.
