I've homebrewed a spell that causes 6d6 damage and scales by 1d6 for every slot above its use, mirroring how the damage modifiers and higher level scaling is used in other spells, but when it appears on a character sheet the damage dice shown is only 1d6. Can anyone clue me in as to what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks
Attached below shows what I've done, the scaling as shown on Burning Hands, and how the homebrewed spell appears on a character sheet (Terminal Velocity).
Here's my spell:
Here's Burning Hands:
And here's Terminal Velocity at 9th level, which is consistently 1d6 regardless of what level it's cast at.
After you added the modifiers and such, you must have not saved the whole spell using the main “save changes” button. You have to do that so the system picks up your changes.

These are the modifiers as I've saved them. Dunno how this happened but I guess I can try to remake it from scratch

Update: Apparently I had Spell Level instead of Spell Scale selected. That was my problem.

If you save the modifiers then they will save correctly in the homebrew. But without hitting that main “SAVE CHANGES” button, the system won’t pick up those changes and populate them on the character sheet.

That was my second guess.
