Is there any way to get Divine Smite to show with the other Paladin spells in the Spell section of the character sheet? It'd be very handy to have it prominently in that section and tick a Spell Slot when cast like the other spells.
I know it's in the "Other" section but I'd like it much more up front and center in my spells.
But, it’s not a spell. You use a spell slot to activate it, but it isn’t a spell. And you can just tick the box next to the appropriate level when you use it.

I get that but two things. One, considering it behaves like a spell in that it uses a spell slot I'd like to see it there so that it's up front among my spells since it's utilizing the same resource (spell slots). Also, my other spells such as "Cure Wounds" are listed as both a 1st and 2nd level spell and I can roll the appropriate dice right there. If I can do that with Divine Smite I'm overlooking it.
Also, if someone else is playing my character for whatever reason would they even remember Divine Smite if it's buried under "Other"? (Granted, if someone else was playing my character they'd probably be using a paper copy.)
This is simply my preference if it's possible to do.
Since it's not an actual spell, it will never be put under the spell section. That would confuse people when it comes to effects that interact with spells, like casting Counterspell or the Rakshasa's Limited Magic Immunity- it's not effected by either.
If you are talking about using Divine Smite via D&D dice roll and updating you can do that selecting smite in the actions section.
Other than that as others have said ita not a spell doeant behave like a spell and never will. Just because it uses the same resource does not make it the same.

I must be missing something, in the Actions, Action tabs I have; Actions in Combat, Channel Divinity, Channel Divinity: Abjure Enemy, Divine Sense with 4 slots, Lay on Hands Pool and Unarmed Strike.
I would settle for Divine Smite being listed there although I'd like to see a cross reference to my Spell Slots since that has to be tracked.
Divine Smite is a “triggered action” and so, instead of listing it under Actions proper, it is listed under “other” Actions.
Right, which brings me back to my original point. I'm not able to click a "Cast" button or cross reference my Spell Slots or even roll my damage from that "Other" Actions section.
Do I have that correct or is there something I can edit or customize that will give me what I'm looking for?

No, it will not automatically spend the slot for you, and it will not automatically roll for you. As players we still have to do some things for ourselves.
If you really, really wanted to you could create a homebrewed spell for it and attach it via a feat, but even that would be inaccurate as the Divine Smite caps in damage at the use of a 4th-level slot, and the spell would not be able to mimic that.

The damage actually caps at 5th level slots, per the PHB's errata.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

Divine Smite (p. 85). “Paladin spell slot” has been changed to “spell slot.” The following text has been appended to the last sentence: “, to a maximum of 6d8.”

I read that as only applying in the case of undead or fiends, that it would go to 6d8. The full quote is:
"The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is an undead or a fiend, to a maximum of 6d8."
It still says the standard max is still only 5d8 (4th level spells). The errata just makes it clear that you still get the extra, 6th d8 in those cases where you are attacking undead and fiends.

It's not listed there for me. I only find it under "Actions", "Other". Am I missing something?
