So, I keep running into Adventurer's League rules enforcement in the character builder and subsequent management of a character. As a DM, sometimes I want to grant a character a boon like learning a new cantrip for helping a NPC. I want to be able to just add the additional cantrip to the character sheet for my players. Presently, to do this, I create a Homebrew item (a ring) with the desired cantrip on it with 1000 charges. So, yeah, the cantrip shows up in the Spells list for the character wearing that ring. OK, fine workaround, I guess.
I guess what I am asking for is DM Override of various character limitations such as Cantrip and Known Spells counts. As well, I'd like my characters to be able to Attune to more than three magic items. I realize I can copy an official magic item to a new Homebrew version that doesn't require attunement. I mean... I guess? But again, that's a messy work-around.
OK, shorter version : Build DM Fiat into the design of D&D Beyond's character management.
Thank you!

There's currently no AL rules enforcement in the character builder. The rules you're talking about overriding are the core rules of the game, which is fine. A lot of people are asking for more customization options. I'm sure these are on their list somewhere.
