I just have to say that I'm elated to see Critical Role content becoming available here on D&D Beyond!
All around it feels as if the hobby and culture of D&D is progressing at such an amazing pace and D&D Beyond is helping usher in major positive improvements for everyone. It blew my mind when I realized that Critical Role's campaign could someday be viewable on this site, with all the players' character sheets, magical items, etc. The Critical Role cast hasn't had much time to continually publish all those details in the past, but with D&D Beyond it could be trivial. I also love that it allows for a new kind of marquee "super-DM" role in the community, i.e. someone like Matt Mercer who is well respected and popular enough to transcend the "homebrew" and Unearthed Arcana categories of non-standard content.
It's very innovative what D&D Beyond is doing, and there may be some pushback for elevating Critical Role specifically to such a privileged place on this site, but my humble opinion is that this is where we ought to be going at this juncture in D&D's evolution. Happy. 2018 and thanks again for the innovation you all are bringing to D&D!
I would loveeee to see that Gunslinger class as well. I am Lvl 2 at the moment in our groups new campaign and would love to utilize DnD Beyond (after I heard about it from CritRole obv) Great tool nontheless.
I agree. Can we get the Gunslinger added?! I would love to have access to it. I have started using DNDBeyond for my other characters, and I really do not want to go back to paper for my gunslinger.
Maybe some of his custom subclasses, like the juggernaut barbarian (Kevdak), the runic sorcerer (Clarota), or the azure soul monk order (Beau)
For the sake of clarity and prevent confusion or misinformation:
- Kevdak was not a Juggernaut Barbarian. He was a Way of the Totem (Bear) Barbarian with some Fighter class thrown in. There was a Path of the Juggernaut Barbarian subclass created by Matthew Mercer and retconned as flavour text to say that the Herd of Storms, once led by Kevdak, often had this path. However, this subclass was created after Kevdak's defeat by Vox Machina and Kevdak himself did not have this path.
- While Clarota was a Sorcerer, he was not a runic sorcerer or even a sorcerer at all. He was an 'Arcanist' variant of the Mind Flayer as detailed in the Monster Manual. Matthew Mercer did create a sorcerous origin called "Runechild" - Gilmore was a Runechild Sorcerer.
- There is no "Azure Soul monk order" made by Matthew Mercer. Beauregard is Way of the Cobalt Soul Monk which was created by Matthew Mercer.
All three were featured in the Tal'dorei Campaign guide which I highly recommend getting.
--
As has been discussed in other threads, further collaboration about Matt's creations will be had. Getting this content approved requires agreements between Matthew Mercer, Wizards of the Coast, D&D Beyond, Green Ronin Publishing and DMs Guild at the very least with possibly more parties involved. This is not easy, and may take a long time, if ever, to reach an approved agreement by everyone. Do not forget that while I am sure Mercer is more than willing the other parties may not be - the campaign guide has not been out long, comparatively speaking, and release of this through D&D Beyond may hinder the sales of their digital release as well as the physical copies they have pre-printed in bulk and invested in.
Nothing stops you homebrewing. Everything in the Tal'dorei campaign guide can be homebrewed for private use and shared in your campaigns. Go buy the campaign or get archetype from DMs Guild (like Gunslinger) and use it to make your homebrew copy. That way the makers get their pay as is fair and you get to use the class/whatevr on D&D Beyond. Win-win. May be less convenient, certainly, but worth considering.

It is also worth bringing up to add to what Cyb3rM1nd mentioned that recently Matt has begun redoing a number of his previous pieces such as the Gunslinger in the DMsGuild and in the last DnDBeyond live chat they mentioned that, that is a sign they should be coming soon. Stuff like the Tal'dorei guide i feel joins all the kobold press, rolls 20 and all thee other 3rd party stuff where the team really want to o it but there are alot of backroom discussion needed to make it happen.

So, I started working on this for my Gunslinger, but I cannot figure out how to get the Trick Shots Class Feature Option to work in the builder. I have the drop downs showing up under Adept Marksman, but the drop downs in the builder do not list my options. They just say "Choose a Level 3 Option." Any help on how to get the options to show up. I am assuming it is with my formatting in the class feature-options description. Or if you could point me to a resource on using the class creator. I've searched but haven't found anything.

You can often use another archetype as a template use the battlemaster as a basis is very useful. To get grit to work i did have to make a magic item called grit and give it to the gunslinger in my campaign giving it changes equal to the number the player had.

When you make the class feature on the bottom left is a checkbox "has options" - ensure this is checked. To the right of that is a textbox in which to list the levels when the player can choose options. Then in that feature you can use Options to create the different options (Trick Shots). The "has options" feature must be checked or the options will not appear.

I hope the CR content expands with the gunslinger martial archetype and maybe his lingering soul class
