Hi, I'm Mimicmaster I am creating this thread because most of story and lore. Top thread are about the PC and party and not like how they interact with the world but what is the party name or what's your dumbest death and all of these have someone talk about dice roll. I would give you more examples but by the time you read this they probably won't be up there but I swear there is always more than one up there. Now this wouldn't be a problem if it was not for people creating new thread when the last one dies and someone else bring back one of the older versions.
I know the party and the PC in it are part of the story but they can die and NPCs will just be like oh. You see a PC is just an avatar yes the player could do stuff the PC wouldn't do and vice versa. That is meta gaming will the former is and that could cause problems and players have life's that could get in the way. NPC deaths purpose is to prove PC actions have effects on the world. PC deaths purpose is to prove choices have consequences, to show they aren't all powerful and after that new PC out of no where appears because it's a game.
So what was the last paragraph about? The reason for my solution a new forum for PCs and parties in general. I know there are things I didn't explain say you should ask your questions. Please fix this. Thanks
I think the specific complaint is that they would like to have a (sub)forum that is more focused on world / setting lore, and not PC shenanigans, vs. the current S&L sub.
Well if you want to discuss the lore of your own settings, there's the DM's only subforum. But if you're asking for a sub just for official lore of the various settings, I feel like that's too much of a niche ask.

Are you asking if there's a place for stories and lore? If so, yes, there's an actual Stories and Lore subforum
