This is a warforged fighter who has proficiency in Simple and Martial weapons. I have even added a 'custom' proficiency in Longsword. Nonetheless, when you look at the damage from a longsword, it is only +3, which is the fighter's strength bonus. I know this is the strength bonus because I edited the character to bring the strength bonus down to +2 and the damage modifier went down to +2 as well.

You aren't supposed to add proficiency bonus to damage, only to attack rolls.
I will protect those I hate. Even ... even if the one I hate most ... is ... myself.
Thank you. I'm a chowderhead. You're 100% correct.
Our problem, our monk weapon damage is calculating with the proficiency added and we can't figure out why.
Are their any homebrew or customizations on the character. Or is it calculating using their dex mod?
If you can post a link to the sheet it helps (mods need the true url, the share link works for us plebs)
