The gemstone dragonborn seems to have access to the gem flight action before reaching 5th level
You have the trait but not the associated action. It's a limitation of the system, since races can't "level up" like a class can. The actual action doesn't show up until 5th level though.
Hello came here to post that the Dragon Touched Focus is currently giving access to all charged spells instead of being restricted to one of the dragon types as stated
it seem that when u pick a gem or other type of dragonborn that the abi for custom origin is bugged
Hi there,
as per the rules presented within Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, the rules for creating a character that uses one of the new variant Dragonborn races has changed from previously. ASI are no longer a racial trait and are, instead, an integral part of building a character, independent of the race chosen.
This means that the newer races that follow this method (those from Fizban's, Witchlight, and Van Richten's) won't have ASI, or languages, surfaced through the "Customize your Origin" rules presented in Tasha's.
Taking Way of the Ascendant Dragon doesn't add Draconic into the character's languages known, you can still choose an additional language to learn (which Draconic is among) but you don't get draconic automatically even though the ability says you do. I just noticed earlier today.
Why doesn't the gem Dragonborn show up on character creation I own all the books this is annoying and I've found some of the subclass options aren't available either. Is there a problem with the fizban online book ?

Sync entitlements, check you actually own stuff, did you just buy the compendium content? etc etc etc.
Edit - Apparently it's working, the stat increase just isn't visually reflected in the character editor until I refresh the page. I use the mobile website, not sure if that is the cause but I want to give as much relevant information as possible.
The Gift of the Gem Dragon feat [all variations] aren't increasing the ability scores of my characters that I give the feat to - any of them. The characters are getting the Telekinetic reprisal reaction just fine, but I've had to add a manual bonus to get the stats to accurately reflect what they should be.
Am I missing something on the character sheets? Or are others having this issue as well?
It seems that Content Sharing in campaigns isn't working with this book. Is that on purpose?
It should be. Have everyone in the campaign check their entitlements. Go here, and check the section called Account Entitlements; if it says you need to sync, click on the sync button.
Hi, this may have been asked already, but as a Drakewarden, how do you change the draconic essence of your drake companion? Would I have to go into edit my character sheet each time for this? Thanks

Yes, it looks like you have to go back to the Manage Character & Levels screen and choose a different option in the Drake Companion section. Slightly annoying, but only slightly. I'm currently playing a Drakewarden now, and I'm guessing I won't be changing his Draconic Essence so often that it becomes a hassle.
When you pick a gem dragonborn, it states that the +2/+1 from ASI must go to different abilities, but the drop down selector lets you pick the same ability for both the +2 and the +1 allowing you to effectively get a +3 to a stat.

The effect on Ki DC saves doesn’t compute after being equipped and attuned.
None of the Gift of the Metallic Dragon feats (regardless of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma) are adding the stat bonuses to my character sheet.
The Gift of the Gem Dragon feats are adding the stat bonuses correctly, for comparison.
EDIT: Whoops, sorry! This was never a bug to begin with.

This feat doesn't grant you a stat bonus, it just requires a stat selection for your spellcasting modifier for Cure Wounds.

Oh! I can't read, apparently. My bad. Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, I misread the description.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case but wanted to ask just in case I was missing an easier way.
