I’ve tried to download the sourcebook on the app multiple times and it never goes past 50%. I’ve tried cancelling and retrying, signing out, and uninstalling. Any tricks to fixing this?
Are you using your wireless carrier's data plan, or are you on Wi-Fi? Is your device using a VPN? I would start by rebooting your device, trying to download from Wi-Fi without a VPN client active, then try from mobile data with no VPN. Also check and make sure you have enough storage space available on your device.
This happened to me (and others) in the past and the solution was to delete the app and re-download every book 1 at a time.
Idk if this is a bug. I pre-ordered this and it's not in my app and my account is synced. I can navigate if I go the long way to the website and it's under source books, but not in the source book section of app.
When creating a monster that has the ability to summon other monsters im wanting to use the new MoM material for one of the stat blocks but when I enter the creature using the standard "[tooltip]Example[/tooltip]" format it only shows up with the legacy version. Is there any way to change that? Example below:
I’m sorry for being a bother but when I try to load up the Boggle monster entry on the D&D beyond app it keeps saying it “We couldn’t load data for this item”. Is there something wrong with my app or is this an issue for others as well?
So I can access the content from MotM through sources, but when I go to create a new character it seems like the only races I can access are Fairy and Harengon. All the other races are still their old versions, and I can no longer access Owlin which I have shared with me.
You can probably read those entries because the book is being shared, and cannot use it in the builder because you aren’t building your character in the campaign with the content sharing. Content is shared with a campaign, not with the players.
MotM Is shared with me but I can't use it for my characters, but I can view all the content. Is there something I am missing? Nevermind, should have read to the end of the thread.
Harengon details say they get 2 languages, common and one other that you and your DM decide is appropriate. But in character creation there is no language option. When you open the character sheet, it just defaults to Sylvan as the additional language proficiency. I do not see any way of adjusting this.
Are you looking on the Race tab or the Description tab? The language choice is not presented on the Race tab but instead on the Description tab where you select your background.
I'm not sure if this is a known issue, but it's currently not possible to create a homebrew variant of any of the MMM races. You can select them from the initial create a homebrew race screen, but when you get to the edit page it will not keep the option you picked and only one version of the race is available (with no legacy indicators, even though the races are all the legacy versions). Likewise you can't create subraces for any of them (though this appears to be intentional, if confusing).

I believe the new standard of character races since MotM is that there are no longer going to be subraces or variants. Just individual races that might share a common lineage with others (that's why the Duergar "Creature Type" section makes it clear it is considered a Dwarf, or the Eladrin CT section states it is classed as an "Elf". From now on, if you want to make a homebrew race option, I think it will have to stand on its own, though you can clarify any shared lineage in the Creature Type section.
All the monsters that have been moved to legacy content have had their art removed from their listing in the app. The portrait still shows the art, but it no longer appears under their stats like it used to.

A lot of that content already didn't have their full art present in the app. I'm not sure about Volo's content, but the stats of MToF never had art in their stat block, in the app.

It's actually possible to select them in the UI from the "Create New" screen, but it breaks on this specific screen. You may be correct, but it's broken in at least one of those two places.
I have the sourcebook bundle and when I look at the Marketplace tab it shows that I am synched...but when I make a new character (inside of a campaign or just into "My Characters"), the MotM race options don't show up at all. How do I fix this?

Edit: App list finally updated. I am good.
Triton Emissary of the Sea has a typo. It says …you can communicate SIMPLY ideas…

Using markup for monsters such as Vegepygmy directs to Volo's not MoM

Wherever you go...
There you are...
To get vegepygmy you need to specify the source, using additional syntax.

Hello!
Do Centaurs not use their PB for their charge attack?
Because their regular hoof attack seems to.
