So I wanted to get the Magic Initiate feat for my character but noticed that i cant select any spells. My character is a fighter so doesn't have spells normaly. Any idea how i can add the spells or is this something that needs to be fixed?
You add the spells for magic initiate within the choose feat pane itself. There should be a blue ! By the feat there and a way to open the feat listing up. Scroll to the bottom of the info for the feat and you can choose spells.
Please note that you need to select a specific Magic Initiate feat (not the generic one), so if you want your character to be able to select Wizard spells, you should select Magic Initiate (Wizard).
You'll then see the ability to select spells below that.
Why is there no Magic Initiate (Druid) then since it lists druid as an option?
There is a Magic Initiate (druid) option. If you are seeing the others but not druid, and if this is on the character sheet, please post a link to your character.
Is it possible by RAW to pick multiple Magic Initiate Feats like one for Sorcerer, one for Wizard etc. (one upon the appropriate level up, of course), because upon leveling up the tool gives us that option. I just wanted to check if that is ok?
magic initiate (of any kind) isn’t showing up for me. In fact, the only 3 options for feat I seem to have are prodigy, firearms specialist, and grappler.

What’s going on?
Have you purchased any content here? If so, what? Two of the three feats you mention are free. Magic Initiate is not. Prodigy is from Xanathar’s, although it’s also possible that you are seeing a homebrew version if the character in question is in a campaign.
If you have purchased content, or the character is in a campaign with content sharing enabled, try checking your entitlements and syncing if it says you need to. (See link in my signature)
So I am having a problem with a player that is using my shared content, and wants to use cantrips that are a part of Tasha Cauldron of Everything but it doesn't show up on the list as an available option for them to choose any of those cantrips from that sourcebook. They specifically wanted to use Booming Blade, Green Flame Blade from Tasha's. Here is the images of my source books available, and the options from his character sheet within my created campaign area.
I don't know if anyone can help as I am trying to figure out how the Magic Initiate feat is setup mechanically in DnD Beyond.
I would like to create a custom feat that simply grants my player's character access to Wizard spells (she is a warlock).
I thought it might be easiest if she chooses Magic Initiate and alter the components of the feat (Number of spells you can add, max level of spell you can add etc).
Though I used Magic Initiate (Wizard) as a template, I couldn't see the mechanics of how the feat operates so I couldn't change any settings.
Yeah, Magic Initiate is not set up to do that. I'd suggest starting a new thread asking for help in the homebrew forum, explaining exactly how you want the feat to work.

RAW it's not allowed. DDB had to break it up into subfeats because of how things work on the back end. Possibly one day that will change.
